It's the so-called devs that encourage this. Any software that plans to go commercial cannot be developed by a lone wolf. How does he quality check his work? Or consider all possible perspectives?

I get what you are saying but most people posting this on nairaland have 10 or 20 K budget and usually get value for their money.

I guess this re-emphasizes that value is relative. I'm one of those lazy IT guys that prefers to pick an Open Source solution and customise it to my clients needs. That way the client isn't tied to me if they can no longer afford my services. And I can rely on the community to do quality checks
