You do realize if he had an interest in medicine at all, he would have gone the science way. I think he has no interest in science related stuffs. And malaria is not something they struggle with in the UK for him to have personal experience with. I have a close friend whose parents are both engineers, and she knows nothing about science, literally nothing, and she aced all her law exams
