PSG submitted a bid for Bellerin. Tricky one for me...should we let him go?
we should cash out ASAP

we need funds to bring in aurora and party

AMN is younger, faster and better defensively

Our midfield currently cannot contain a third player, because it's so porous that we have to pack a double pivot tight to a back 3 simply to create the impression of defensive solidity.

Look what happened when we tried Xhaka-Ceballos in front of a back 4 against an already-relegated Watford.

from reddit
Why don't you give us the full line up instead of picking out just two players

He has his weaknesses which I have stated clearly that are not good enough for a 4-3-3. But it’s ridiculous the number of things he’s been blamed for on this thread,
Xhaka is the reason for the terrible midfield under Emery, he’s the one responsible for Guendouzi’s subpar performance, he’s to blame for the slow growth of the young midfielders, he’s to blame for 3-4-3 that was switched to by Arteta due to lack of an AM. If u can’t impregnate ur wife it’s Xhaka’s fault.
Lol

His weakness is defending but he can pass and build up attacks. Some managers prefer the later if they must choose one.

Get max Aaron younger and faster
There is no need for replacement. We got Nelson who I think is a like for like replacement for Bellerin

Arteta can even use Nelson as WB

I hope we don't get disappointed by this Partey deal.

Nelson in defence shocked
Another player out of position then someone will blame him that he's useless

If he wants to go we shouldn't stop him. After all we sign players from other clubs. But if you're asking whether he is still good for us, sure.
He is good but I think he has now become too conservative.

I mean as a WB. He is not a newbie to that role. That was where he usually p
ays before he went on loan. Not convinced with his defensive side though.

Arsenal currently have 27 players to fit into the 25 list. Who should we lose?

by Tony Attwood

The purchases

So, as we know, we have purchased four players.  A number of others are being discussed, but for the moment let us work with these four…

Willian: Winger — from Chelsea, free

Pablo Marí: Defender — from Flamengo, £14m

Cédric Soares, Defender — from Southampton; free

Gabriel Magalhães; Defender — from Lille £27m

All four have foreign status, meaning that they cannot be counted in our home grown list – which we shall come to in just a moment.

Who have we got

Keepers

Bernd Leno

Emiliano Martinez (home grown)

Matt Macey (home grown)

Backs

William Saliba

Shkodran Mustafi

Calum Chambers (home grown)

Rob Holding (home grown)

Sokratis

David Luiz

Kieran Tierney

Hector Bellerin (home grown)

Sead Kolasinac

Midfield

Ainsley Maitland-Niles (home grown)

Lucas Torreira

Granit Xhaka

Mohamed Elney

Matteo Guendouzi

Joe Willock (home grown)

Mesut Ozil

Forwards

Bukayo Saka (under 21)

Gabriel Martinelli (under 21)

Nicolas Pepe

Reiss Nelson (under 21)

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang

Alex Lacazette

Eddie Nketiah (home grown)

Other under 21s can of course be added to the squad at any time

I don't like the idea of using makeshift players like that Jàre. I prefer natural players to be used in their natural positions

Same here too...but the wing is overloaded already and the cash to be use to fund Bellerin' replacement (if he leave) can be use to strengthen other position. IMO

Papa,Kola, Torrera, Guen might leave.Laca and Bellerin might also depart. The thought of Ozil wasting our money and still wasting space is infuriating sha.

We could do away with Socrates and Mustafi as we have enough defenders now.

Ozil and Guendouzi who are outcast should be replaced, if not keep.

Every other player less than 2years left in their contracts can leave if they command a good fee but must also be replaced.

I guess this is your lineup .. grin grin

A lineup without David Luiz isn't an Arteta lineup.

But by the way. Why would xhaka play DM while partey play cdm? Also, have we sold bellerin?, if not I don't see Amn benching him in a 4 man defence system. I feel xhaka and partey should interchange too.

Aside that, the formation is good

Breaking: There is total agreement between Fiorentina and Arsenal for the transfer of Midfielder Lucas Torreira. A loan fee of €8m with obligation to buy at €16m. Torreira has already agreed terms with the Italian team.

This is a very great deal. I don't see torreira in Arteta plan. If ceballos wasn't available and Arteta went for elneny, then I think we should sell him and it's great we're getting something out of him

I concur to swapping Partey and Xhaka
