I recently have possession of a doctor's prescription that got me perplexed. Out of all the prescription i have ever seen in my life, this is the worst.

This made me to kept wondering, why dodoctor's have bad handwriting.

Please who can interpret this prescription ?

So one can run back to them again when they fall sick

These are trade jargons that can only be interpreted by people in the profession...a good chemist should be able to interpret that

So that you will not understand what they write. Only the pharmacist or nurse or another doctor can understand the writings. It prevents self medication and also helps the doctor keep the patient coming back another time.

On the flip side, you can rarely maintain a good handwriting after passing through the rigours of medical school for 6 years.

I agree with u. However, there are doctors who i was able to read what they wrote despite the handwriting but this doctor's own handwriting is not something to write home about.
