What Can One Do For These Twins? by Billionsclub(op): 9:24am On Sep 05, 2020
There is a trend I created sometime ago about a twin in my street who are orphans. I said they have not been going to lessons since the covid19. so I decided to employ someone to be teaching them even though it was going to be easy considering the fact that I am a teacher. I won't be chanced to teach them because I take home lessons in different houses.
I finally employed someone to teach them but the person employed to be teaching them complained to me that they were not ready to learn,so I went to the twin and the grandmother they are staying with, and spoke to them that they should change but they refused. I did spoke to them on two occasions but they refused to change. The teacher I employed told me that once one of them is not ready, the other one will follow suit. I even promised to buy them biscuits, just to encourage them. But they didn't change. I had to stop the teacher because they were not ready to learn.
Should I take them to the private lessons I am taking or should I take them to a lesson where people are much ? on a second thought, the parents of the children I am taking for home lessons may not accept, because they prefer private lesson teacher to enable you concentrate on their kids. These twins are like 5-6 years old. They are orphans. They live in a one room in my street at Ikpoba Hill Benin. What is the best thing to do?

God bless you for your kindness and support to them,I will humbly Suggest if you take them on the lessons yourself, from all indications it could be their grandma doesn't like them going out so seeing someone who comes to the house to teach them instead of allowing them express themselves is more like a cage to them,or if you can take them along with you to the places you teach other kids am pretty sure they will adjust, most children learn by interaction,am a teacher and I have met very much of them..

Thanks and God bless you for this kind gesture, as you have concern for these children may God attend to your affairs too IJMN. Please, have people talk to the grandmother to let her know that the future of these children is at stake, they are CHILDREN and cannot make decisions on their own yet, they must be compelled to go to the lessons, they have no choice in this matter, please don't give up, God will never give up on your case IJMN.
Thanks

God bless you for what you are doing.
I just want to clear something. You can't just teach children unless you have passion and patience for them.
It's like my 2nd son whose teacher always complained.Once he says "I don't want to learn"no amount of flogging or cajoling will change his mind.

During this lockdown it wasn't easy but months later we are making headway.
Imagine the patience I have lost as his mom for months let alone a teacher who is there for monetary gains.

What am I stressing?
Lots of patience. Everyday 15mins to 1hr.be consistent until they come around.

It's not easy. I used my experience to exalt teachers. You guys are legit!
