Help: Changing Of Name In Nigeria by kachi19(op): 11:58am On Sep 05, 2020
I need help from anyone who's undergone the process of changing of name in Nigeria. I want to change my first name (Personal reasons) and it seem like the procedures are a bit puzzling as an adult, what can I do?

Go to court... It will only cost u #500 naira....... But u will first of all go and publish a newspaper.... #7500 naira... Then go to ur bank and apply for "change of name".. It will take u just one week...... Total amount spent = 8,000... GOODLUCK

Go to any state or fed high court, ask of probate office, tell them u want to do affidavit 4 change of name, they will help out (cost 2-3k)
then you go to any national newspaper and show then d affidavit from the court and they will publish it on their newspaper (cost..i don't knw)
