I spent two years learning this job, along the line, I had an accident and broke my left leg on my way from work and spent two years hospitalized. Came back and spent another two years. So yes I learnt this job and put my blood along the line. I make the doors and more

Wow! These are very impressive. Pocket friendly too. If one is to ship to Abuja, what would the cost be like?

please you need to be more specific on your location in Abuja. I have delivered a job to Lagos for 3k per door. Things have changed though but I know if the quantity becomes high, I can chatter a truck and deliver it to your exact location

Which makes me to ask “Must we tile all the kitchen or just the wet areas?”

If yes, why?

I didn’t do that in my personal build and Buhari has not arrested me and I’ve never had to complain about using very expensive tiles.

I have the dry and wet areas in the kitchen.

Pic 1 & 2 shows the wet and the dry area.

My brother, too much sense no go kill you. That was what came to my mind. I was in a guest house in PH and that beautiful expensive tile was only done on the wet side of the kitchen. The whole kitchen was painted in an immaculate shiny and beautiful white paint.

Same with the bathroom. Only the bath area (cubicle) and wash hand basin had these beautiful Spanish carrara tiles. You don't need to tile the whole wall. It is common in Nigeria. Check out houzz website, you hardly see tiles on the whole kitchen.

Men, I will use that tile for my area but just in a small wet place. The other places will be painted. That's why I smooth-plastered my kitchen and bathroom so that I would have option painting most part. I am not going to tile the whole space.

please sir kindly note that there's no way I can know the price to every location in Nigeria. Why not tell me where you want the doors and I will make enquires about the cost with the haulage trucks and I will get back to you. And I don't make only doors too. Depending on the nature and quantity of the job, I can come to your location and make them

Nigerians are fond of wasting tiles in name of protecting the wall from water and moisture, it's no longer rocket science that satin based paints are specially made for kitchen, bathroom or wet areas, you can clean them....unless they don't exist in Nigeria.

We will definitely work together.

Let me share something with you.

I wanted to do Tank Tower in Ondo state some years ago and I was given a very ridiculous bill. I think about 800k then. My major concern isn’t the cost but I’m unsure the welder can deliver the job.

So I decided to work with my welder who’s almost 200km (Ogun - Ondo state) away. He was able to give me a better deal at 200k.
I remember talking to a cement truck driver to help move the Tank Tower from Ogun State to Ondo State. I paid less than 100k.

All expense spent on the tank tower was still less than 300k including installation.

I believe we can always work things out when the time comes.
Distance is no barrier for me. We don’t have to meet to work together.

I really like how your mind works. You give people the opportunity to prove their worth. My last discussion with you even though the job didn't materialize made me appreciate the day I joined this thread.

Funny thing is that I have been on Nairaland since but was busy with Dem romance section grin grin grin

If you are building your house to live in yourself, you can tile only wet areas.
But if u are building for renting, oga, just tile every where else u will use all the rent the tenant paid to carry out renovation after he/she has gone. Some tenants are pigs in human shape.

how many entrance doors do you have at the building. I will advise that you use iron doors for all the house. They are cheaper and more durable. Each door below costs #18,000 for the single and #28,000 for the double door
Where are you located?

I felt the same way too when I saw this ad on Jiji. N50k for ordinary concrete sphere.

The guy said if I’m buying 10, he’ll reduce N5,000 per pc. I just shook my head and decide to DIY.

I wouldn't do it myself and will not buy it for that price either... The house will still have the same value and beauty with or without it. I imagined the picture of the of the fence you sent sometime ago without the sphere and it, it still appear beautify to me with no sphere.... But again some of us like artwork more than others.

What exactly will a landlord be renovating? It's better to paint the walls all over in the kitchen than replacing broken tiles... A pig that can mess up the dry walls can mess up the tiles. For bathroom its OK tilling everything but again it depends on the design and size of the bathroom.

Good morning everyone. After the number of enquires I received about the doors which I posted the pictures about, I realized that I'm competitively priced but location is a bit of draw back. But here's what I think which is a business opportunity too. What if I make these doors and supply to you at your location and you sell at a profit depending on your location. I can make about fifty of these every fortnight (two weeks) and depending on the demand, I can hire extra hands to make more.

If you are interested in the business, contact me and let's work out something that will work for us both.

You can make a profit of about 4-5k on each door after expenses and whatnot.

Kindly note that trust and honesty are required from the both of us. We can start with about five doors and see how the market responds to it. Depending on how you want it, we can make this thread and her members a witness to the arrangements.

Kindly ponder upon it while you sleep. Goodnight
