Please how do i transition to giving other foods?
It's been 2weeks now since we clocked 6ms and no progress has been recorded.
Ive tried plain pap, pap and formula, cerelac and even just formula. She doesn't want any of those, not even water.
Don't want to waste money trying different brands of milk and cereal.
I even tried the beans and mackerel porridge, same result.
I've tried feeding her when she's hungry but she still refuses to take it.
Dh has tried feeding her on several occasions, ive used feeding bottle, plate and spoon, still same reaction. Today for instance I waited for about 5hrs since she sucked BM last and gave her pap, since she was obviously hungry but she still refused to take it. I had to give in, she's sucking and smiling now

Totally normal but keep trying. If she takes up to 5 spoons, that's success oh..

Keep trying. Fruits puree nko? Swallow? Potatoes? You have to explore till you find something she likes. Pele

Chaiii, it's exhausting
She has never taken that much without a fight
She only managed to take few spoons of plain pap once and I was happy
Busy body me now went to try cerelac again the next day, we just went back to square one. And it's been same old story since then
Pap with formula and cerelac is a no go area for her.
Scared of swallow since she still refuses to take water.
I've tried potatoes too

mama all it takes is patience since i read in your other post she takes pap just keep at it, slowly but surely your baby will eat, had that experience with my son till he was 1 , it was after he clocked 1 he started picking up and now he eats everthing. just be patient and continue the process.

story of my life. We've gone back to exclusive BF at 13months. The only thing she takes very well is meat, fish and boiled egg so that's what I basically give her a lot in fact, it's one egg one day. The day she likes, she'll eat swallow but most times, she takes only BM for the whole day . I also noticed that when there are kids around or in our house and they're eating, my DD sits down to eat to her satisfaction no matter the food we're eating. Be patient, she'll definitely pick up

Don't worry yourself too much just keep on giving her and also try little bit of other food she will come around some day. I know it is not easy have been through that stage before you will be fine.

While we(my chairman and I ) just managed to push ourselves reach 6 months to be able to consume all consumables, chairlady is still blowing guy with food. These babies ehn.
Mix her food with plenty of BM and wait till she's hungry before giving her. That's what I'd do.

Mama, that's how my baby's pooo is too oh...... It's stopped when she was six months old, when I started giving her pap and food, small small. Lol.. Dnt mind my English Biko..... Some babies poop alot and comes out foamy... I think it's from the breast milk.. Then I could remember, anytime my baby suck, she must pooo, if she sucks ten time a day, she will poop ten times. I was worried, but with time, it stopped.. Now she do go two days with out pooing..

Gosh, this turned out to be sooooooooo true. All our earnings were being invested in diapers.

We are so on the same train as you now. Infact, mine might even be worse. As it seems as though he's angry that I tried to introduce a new food and so now, I almost always force him to reaccept the breast.

Welldone mama.If you think she's tolerating pap a little, keep giving her..you can just switch up by adding crayfish,egg yolk,fish,soyabeans,groundnut etc.its a gradual process..my baby is also taking just pap for now,though not much,but we're making progress..you can try fruit puree too..You're doing well..

keep trying it is a matter of patience. Try playing nursery rythms during feeding time it helps.

Please ma this should not discourage you for doing ebf for your next baby, but the thing is at from 5mnths when you are eating eg: Eba n soup,just take little soup and rub the baby's mouth,just like an awareness of what she will likely be taking if fees months to come. Keep doing it once in awhile. Honestly it helps. Don't worry she will eat

Honestly, seems you read my mind. Was saying I won't bother doing ebf again if I have more kids. Didn't do ebf for my 1st and didn't experience this.
I did the soup thing as she was always dragging food with us, was even thinking the switch will be an easy one since she seemed interested. But now she isn't, if I try putting soup it her mouth now, she just starts shaking her head
Btw, I'm not telling anyone not to do ebf o, this is just me ranting and I'm sure I'll get over it soon.
Every child is different and you may have a different experience.
