They are forming & claiming rights in Nigeria while dishing out xenophobic hate back home in South Africa.
Sleeping giant of Africa.

Come on, blame Buhari as usual. You all did not talk about xenophobic anything when shoprite announced that it would sell its stake to Nigerian investors. The same company is leaving Kenyan and you’re blaming xenophobic attacks. You see this hypocrisy thing ehn !

It baffles me how people see shoprite as a tourist center. Is it that nigerians are too local or bush. Tourist center to nigerians.. eateries, super markets, hotel bar, malls. Its always in every nigerians phone gallery. Zoo would be empty when the animals are lazy and bored.
It’s you... go to America ask Americans what they like doing? So many of them will include going to the shopping malls... you are the local and bush one

Are they leaving Kenya also?
This was our post the first day we read Shoprite are getting ready to leave NIGERIA.......

#TeamProudlyNigeria.

We can have all these and much more indigenously in our darling nation.

If Supersport follow suit,
an indigenous cable TV will stand at last after many caved in along the way.

We should be the GIANT of AFRICA that people know us as.

It is Nigeria that should be having corporations and companies like this in all African countries,
not the other way round
Unfortunately, it is not so cos of the 'many' bad leaders that have ruled our nation since independence.

Gradually we will get there as a nation!
We will continue to believe in her.

your earlier point is making sense until you end it in a political manners

bad leaders in the past, is Buhari not part of the past leaders?

it's obvious you know nothing about corporate business or you think business is restricted to grilling of goats and chicken? how can Nigeria move forward with the way this blockhead clown rule Nigeria

I forbid someone like Buhari to be your daddy, you've IQ to identify yourself with such backward and retrogressive mallam

Buhari the blockhead will never be your daddy I pray for you, stop wishing yourself bad by identifying with that mallam, even if you're benefiting from his useless government

My friend, no matter what you do, SA have never hidden their disdain for Nigeria but all Nigerian Presidents from Abacha till Jonathan all stood up to their nonsense except the present one when their idiocy reached its crescendo despite all the diplomatic approach.

Imagine our president going to SA to beg them over xenophobic attacks despite the unwarranted aggression towards Nigerians in their country? That was belittling for a nation of Nigeria's status given our regional big brother assistance to the ungrateful nation from antiquity irrespective of any economic concession they may be giving us.

It's actually difficult to do business in countries you are not from, especially in the developing countries where there's political instability.

I really praise American companies that have branches all over the world.

Love them or hate them, those guys are outstanding

When you start a business, the first 1-2years should be for experimentation, under normal condition.

When you take stock at the of the business year and the figures are not looking good as you keep recording losses, identify the problems and if realistically insurmountable due to factors you cannot control. Pack up and leave.

Sometimes location is everything.

Right on point sir!

Lying again as usual. The deadliest xenophobic attacks in SA occurred in 2008 and April 2015. Yar’adua was the president in 2008 while Jonathan was in charge in 2015. Both did nothing to stop the attacks or even get the SA government to protect Africans living in the country.

The 2019 attack even though not so deadly, was heavily resisted by the Federal government. Buhari even send a high powered special envoy to the SA president to protest the attacks and warn them of severe consequences if the situation is not brought under control.

Again, the only president to ever stand up to SA businesses in Nigeria since 1999 is Buhari. When MTN violated a simple NCC SIM card registration code, an unprecedented billion dollar fine was imposed on the company. Jacob Zuma had to come to Nigeria to beg before the fine was marginally reduced. So please, spare me the lies in bold. I know better.

And here is Ebaino supermarkets, but Nigerians don't patronize them.Nigerian customers are so scanty in this supermarket but if you go to spar and ShopRite supermarkets Nigerians will be struggling for car space to park and shop. Our demand to patronize foreign stores is too high.
