For over a decade, the Gulder Ultimate Search TV show aired on our television screens captivating hearts with its thrilling displays, collections, intriguing display as well as daring contestants who participated in the show.

The Gulder Ultimate Search also known as GUS is a Nigerian reality TV series which was created and sponsored by Nigerian Breweries Plc. to promote the Gulder Lager beer.

The show made its debut in 2004, garnering mainly positive reviews from fans and critics alike and featured about a dozen acclaimed editions before it was suspended abruptly few years ago.

The fan-favourite reality TV show is a survival type reality show which showcased the struggles and perseverance of contestants usually about 10-30 persons.

The contestants are expected to juggle different daunting tasks as they struggle against themselves and the wild in their search for a hidden treasure which would bring the winner instant fame and fortune.

Past winners of the reality show have gone on to become instant celebrities making their names heard in their respective fields. Before the show was suspended, it featured a celebrity edition which saw versatile Nigerian actor, Emeka ike emerged winner.

Now BBNaija

BBNaija was conceived in 2006, as a platform to promote the Nigerian brand as well as the rising dominance of the country’s entertainers on the entertainment scene in Africa.
Obi Asika, then CEO of Storm 360, who was the producer of the ground-breaking reality show, once argued that the show was more than putting adults in a house and have cameras follow their every move. For him, it was bigger than that, as he planned to use his then production crew and music to sell the Nigerian image to millions of Africans. But today, that idea had been defeated, and what has become of the show is better imagined than said. While many Nigerians described it as ‘borrowed culture which has affected our morals negatively,” others commended the producers, saying “the show is pretty unique and entertaining.” this show has been described ponographic in nature and not suitable for all.

I mean one Africa task.. Innosun vehicle task, Airtel female child education task? Betway and Betnaija Arena games, Pepsi challenge

Big brother is better of because of the following
1. Viewership
2. Sponsorship
3. Reality
4. Publicity
Gulder ultimate search lack the above points. It is not as entertaining as maltina dance all, voice naija, project frame etc. Even if GUS is aired, there would be less viewers compare to the bolded text

I watched and enjoyed watching 3 GUS seasons...but I’ve never watched bbn for 5mins in all my life, I feel it’s boring based on all updates, people gossiping about se.x other people are having! How depraved and unengaged can people be?...

The gospel truth is both are Adventurous

But what the youth love to see and display is what sells out mostly...... Which is BBN, most times we're been lust for what relates to sexual escapades rather than energetic event

Well for me, I'd rather pick ultimate search or even Malta Guinness Street dance to BBN

Gulder Ultimate Search any day anytime. I'd rather watch mosquitoes having sex than watch crappy BB Naija
