The Presidential Candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party in the 2019 General Elections, Atiku Abubakar, has urged the people of Edo State to cast and defend their votes for Governor Godwin Obaseki.

The democracy that we enjoy today was bought at a great price. We can only deepen and sustain it by respecting the sanctity of the ballot and necessary review of our electoral processes.

As the great people of Edo State go to the polls to elect their governor this weekend, they need to be provided with a secured environment to cast their votes and be assured that their votes will count.

I urge all duly registered voters of conscience and who truly care about the wellbeing of Edo to turn out enmasse to cast and defend their vote for @GovernorObaseki.

I have expected Atiku to come out all this while and support Obaseki openly in a campaign other than doing it twitically.
This his I dont care and superior attitude is the more reason why Nyesom Wike never liked him. He sees himself above everyone, selfish and self centred.
Although between the two evils I'll still choose him than the idiotic, foolish, uneducated nepotistic and religious bigoted hardsman occupying Aso villa.

Atiku's speech is more democratic and encompassing to all than that of Tinubu's which was centred on "myself", "i", "me", "we were among" etc...

Well, Going by the debate, anticidents and exceptional projects/contribution not usually common amongst Governors like the Power generation plant and refinery in the states name, Obaseki deserves a second term.

A lot of Governors would have invested personally with embezzled funds belonging to the state and not in the name of the state.

Prospect of a possible alliance between the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN and Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, was dashed yesterday in Kano as the leader of the party and former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu described CPC as parading “expired leadership.”

Now the question is who actually fought for our democracy?
Tinubu just said he fought in the struggle, Atiku too don say he too suffered for the democracy we enjoy today.
Izi or obaseki who should we vote.
In my opinion a driver that managed to save the car from an accident shouldn't be sacked cos he has no drivers license.
