Jman24:
Do you know people are working in large farms in Imo State and making a fortune currently. Though not in owerri capital.
Farms owned silently by notable Imolites.

But you keep hearing the rhetoric of "it's only Hotels in owerri" as if the hospitality industry is not a major stake in most economies when properly enhanced.
Oguta and Ohaji Egbema are the food hub of Imo state. Others are trying I heard but those two LGA are blessed.
1. Agriculture
2. Oil and Gas
3. Peace Loving

I think Ada Palm was a project of Micheal Okpara which was boosted by Sam Mbakwe.
Yes, but successive governments abandoned it, Emaka try to rejuvenate it before he was sacked, and the present governor is continuing from where he stopped

Ngor-Okpala is trying in agriculture, many big farms are springing up there and also host Imo Airport, there is alot of opportunities in that local government.

Goodluck to you guys over there. For me I don't know much about Imo state in general. Wish I could transverse the state one of these days. The only areas that I’ve been to is only Owerri and Ohaji that’s just a stone throw from my villa.

I pity you guys, by the time the other two are ready, you people will hide your faces inside cloth
The guy you are quoted is from the east. He is not happy that such a thing was commissioned under Uzodimma because of politics.

Wonderful news. New jobs, increased revenue, self sufficiency in petroleum products. This refinery will serve the whole of southeast, Rivers State and other parts of the south south.

Kudos to President Buhari, Governor Uzodinma and the owner of Waltersmith Engineer Abdul Isa from Kogi state. Kudos to APC as well.

Risonpalm was the name before, but it has been leased to a private company to manage. They go by the name Siatnigeria. The plantation is at Elele and another one in Ubima. MI Okpara work and legacy was undone by the civil war. Too bad!
