Arewa the (Futa D'jallon), you seem to be a very cool headed fellow and in all honesty, I salute you.

I mean, despite many negative remarks by Nairalanders about Islam, you seem to still be one of the few lonely voices in the wilderness.

I shared my Telegram details with you because I want to chat you up on the Quran's authority but you, for your own reasons, didn't add me up. It is alright.

Just to give you some perspective. There is this Hausa girl whom I had a crush on and who used to top our class back then in FGC Kano. Then, ah, the girl brain dey shaprapra lol.

She later read medicine at BUK sha and we got talking recently. I point blanked asked her to convert me to Islam and she started. I said that because I know she wouldn't be quite comfortable talking about anything else. I needed to just discuss anything with my crush.

I really wish I could share our chat transcript, but no, I can't. I promise not to divulge our details with anyone.

At one point, I said something about Muhammad concorting fake conspiracy theories and not surprising, she said she wasn't going to answer or chat me up again after read that with some red, angry faced emoji and she didn't afterwards. Not only that, she logged out of Telegram because of this too. It was totally funny and weird and unexplainable.

Like, if I saw her now, I would not say more than greetings and be on my way because that's not right. That is NOT the way you win over someone who is not convinced about the Islamic faith and its prophet. If muslims continue like this, they would lose intelligent converts because intelligent people need more than "allow your mind to convince your brain" or so, as my crush puts it to give you any chance.

She is not as intelligent as I thought.

So I'll tell you how our conversation goes tomorrow and I'll quote you when I'm done.

Just signal your interest, I would make it short and concise.

First all I will start by telling you that the lady in the picture isn't intelligent.

She's just being emotional and don't even have the knowledge to defend Islam.

I want you to ask me any questions you wish to ask me about Islam and I will try my best to answer.

Arrewa, yakake? Ya garin ne?

I was banned by Nairaland bot because of what I was going to talk to you about, sadly. I pasted it and then boom: notified of my ban.

I just completed the duration of the ban though, so instead of she said, he said, I will keep it short. Very short and just ask anyways.

Please can you quote a text from any inspired text outside the Holy Quran that talks about the prophethood of Muhammad, his divine calling, and what he would do?

I am questioning the authority of the Quran, not the claims the Quran makes. If you have to prove anything the Quran says, it has to be another text of Scripture, not the Quran.

We cannot use the Quran to prove that the Quran is right.

She suggested a book by John Fontain and she agreed with the author's sentiments that previous original revelations were sent, alright, but they got lost or missing or corrupted in time.

And I said that is enough reason to discard your own truth for want of evidence too.

I put it like this:

Imagine for the sake of argument the original revelations has for centuries been irrecoverable lost or missing or corrupted. No such thing as authentic Talmud or New Testament manuscript. However, if whoever comes with the claim that the original revelation is lost and puts forward a different or similar revelation, then the person has to prove his translation with another divine text since we are talking about the divine and what he wants. With what revelation do we compare and contrast his claims? There is no original revelation to vet and compare. I mean, there's no way to prove he is right or wrong. There is no manuscript to compare his claims with. Nothing. To vet, compare, and contrast any of his claims, we need a previous revelation that ratifies and proves that his claims are legit, he is indeed a prophet, he is.... but now, they are all lost.

First of all... I'm not an Islamic cleric.

I have studjrd both the Quran and the Bible.

Outside of the Quran there's no way I can prove the existence of anything concerning Islam.

Religion is faith.

However I strongly believe in humanity.

I believe that if you are doing the right thing... Helping the less privileged, planting trees, standing tall for humanity... If there's heaven you'll surely make it!

We don't have the right to question ones existence.

The God that created you a Christian didn't hate you.

We have trillions of people who are not Muslims.

I can't Condemn them to hell just because they're not Muslims

You can never defend religion to the end.

They're many things we will never understand about religion.

But the most important thing is to embrace Humanity and nature.
