Actually, the objective people knew the election would be too close to call, based on the fact that PDP has good structure in Edo which POI leveraged in 2016. However, the undoing of majority of APC supporters was undermining the capacity of Edo citizens for self-determination. They boasted too much, and saw Obaseki as a political neophyte; hence unwittingly made him the VICTIM that gave him a great mileage.
Had they allowed him contest and lose APC primary (through any means), the story would have been different today. EPM were too brazen.
