We have a tradition of generalizing things in Nigeria, which is bad. I have a couple of yoruba muslim guys i know who fall in line with the whole "yoruba muslim" cliche. But i definitely know wonderful Yoruba Muslims as well.

I am not happy with the result cos Obaseki who didn't do much in Edo won the election, well Edo believed killing Godfatherism is stronger than development (I'm not sure if the APC candidate will even bring development self if he had won, they are all thieves)

Las las, both parties won cos transfer window will be opened for politicians from next week.
Its a win-win for both parties and the masses are the losers irrespective of the outcome.

My own be say, they should just release my Governor, Nyesom wike.

APC owns Lagos until Tinubu dies. If you know Tinubu well, you'll understand how he spends before, during and after election. Many people are stuck with him because they believe, although, he's milked the commonwealth of the state, he still returns some to the public unlike other politicians who don't even bother.

People will die for Tinubu in Lagos, I don't know if anyone would do that for Ambode. Not sure even his wife will.

Paying saries and pensions as at when due is extremely important for incumbent Governor to win with a wide margin.

This analysis, I'm sure you know, is wrong. Even if Ambode had gotten the PDP ticket, he had no structure anywhere and even PDP knows. His case would have been as that of Eyitayo Jegede of Ondo.

Get this. Edo is not Lagos. Lagos APC is loyal to Tinubu and APC but no one else. Ambode knew if he had decamped, not a single LGA chairman, no to talk of house of rep member, would have followed him because they know how elections work in Lagos.

At the primaries, you really don't have the slightest idea how badly Ambode was betrayed. He didn't even have agents to look after his votes, which he didn't really get. It was really bad that he had no one behind many of his posters. Ambode wanted to fight but he knew it was a lost cause. He would have lost everything. He would also have been historically impeached and badly as well.

Let Edo do their politics and good luck to them but don't even think a governor can pull that Obaseki stunt in Lagos. It's completely different, what is obtainable in Lagos. It would end in hot tears.

Not taking anything away from what you have said though, but you never know.

If Obaseki had not fought, nobody would have believed he could do this well.
