His he from Edo South? If he Runs will he Fulfill Edos Political Equation and Zonibg Aggrangement?
Sadly No. It is the turn of the esan people next.

Shaibu will go for senate and after that can contest the governorship position.

I think the main thing here is to score president Buhari very highly in this election. His neutrality paived the way for s well balanced contest, that is the way it ought to be.

If he had taken sides the only thing we will do is cause commotion and after sometime we cool off.
So let us appreciate him and applaud him. He should keep it up.

I think oshiomole and tinubu knew they will lose when they didn't get federal backing.

For tinubu to come out publicly to say "do not vote for obaseki" is desperation that shows they lacked the backing from Buhari.

This is a lesson and a new political strategy, just because this chess game obaseki did to decamp to pdp at the last minutes worked for him does not mean it can work in other states but it is a political lesson.

Now obaseki will have to remove some disloyal members in his government and replaced them with pdp.

As for oshiomole, his political career is finished, he couldnt deliver 2 states

As for tinubu, his relevance and influence is reducing.

Welcome the New Godfather Of Edo State politics Obaseki
Buhari will soon form a new party and leave all of them in APC just mark my words.

Buhari is not happy the way they tumbled his administration and the fact that Tinubu wants to be president.

Just mark this

If only his boss also understood what principle and loyalty is
His boss understood it.

You know PDP insisted that he drops Shuaibu so they can allow him become the party's flag bearer.
But Obaseki refused to drop him.

If you remember, that was why he tried to approach one of the smaller party at the time.

Rubbish insinuation.

While I commend Shuaibu for his loyalty, the truth is, he would have suffered a worse fate than Ize-Iyamu if he had allowed greed take over him. The flogging would have been worse.

Edo people voted and had their votes count. Why attribute the winning to one man whose LGA wasn't even in the reckoning?
Thank you my brother or sister.
The typical Nigerian is so broken by poverty and systemic failure that they even attribute what ordinarily would be a “people’s” victory to the political elites.

I have often heard politicians say things like, “I delivered my ward” and I have heard people attribute political victories to individuals:.. poor and illiterate Nigerians are the worst I Swear!!

Buhari will rather cede 2023 to PDP who will field a northerner (Fulani) than to allow Tinubu take power.

I predicted this the moment Oshiomole was successfully ousted out as party chairman and Buhari did nothing but backed Gaidom.
I said that day either with this Monika or my friend's own that Oshiomole will never enjoy federal might because buhari has hand in his ousting.
wait how do you think those that wanted him out will grant him federal might which will help him win and probably restart his fading career?
all those support during campaign are just fake and deceit to make him loose guard.
they wanted to finish him kpatakpata
though he's not the target their main target is Tinubu.
mark my word 2023 it's either buhari picks his preferred candidate from the south which is definitely not Tinubu or Osinbajo
or he'll allow Tinubu and his clique have their way and collapse cpc structure with pdp that will field a Fulani.

Let me tell you one thing about buhari
he doesn't care about APC as a party he only sees them as a useful Ediots and platform in which he came to power.
Buhari is a core pro Fulani expansionist and dominance that's why he's a god in the north.
You are very right .....

Even If Obaseki was loosing , federal might would have worked in his favor ...

Northern Governors played 60%. In this victory

*_I am so shocked to see that some People including myself Expected APC to Win the Edo State Governorship Election when all the APC Governors, Party Caretaker Leadership Ministers lead by Rotimi Ameachi and the Dr Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State have Contributed #Billions of Nigeria and gave to Governor Godwin Obaseki as part of their Support to him (a PDP Man)?_*

How can people call themselves APC Members then choose to Support PDP because of 2023 Presidential Inordinate Ambition?
The raw truth is that His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinibu is their Parochial and Selfish Target.

I have Personally been to Edo State few times before the Election and I confirmed that Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu is so much on Ground Politically to defeat Governor Obaseki, but what would you do in this Case where apart from Governor Ganduje of Kano State, no other APC Governor gave Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu any form of Support including not attending Campaign Rally in Edo State.

For me, one thing is sure, *"Man Propose, God Dispose"* all the People Planning and Strategizing today must not forget that Power comes from God and HE gives to who ever HE chooses to give to.

Today, all of the Buccaneers are together to Fight Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinibu, but can never tell what would become of them tomorrow.

Rt Hon Rotimi Ameachi and Co has planted their stooges and Cabals across APC in Nigeria in Preparation for their Inordinate Ambition including Planting a PDP Member Sen Matthew Mbu as the Acting Chairman of APC CRS which they have failed from the Beginning.

*As Foundation Members of APC CRS, we would resist any form of Intimidation, Imposition and Overbearing Influence of some Greedy and Desperate People to destroy our Beloved Party for us.*

*It is the same Rt Hon Rotimi Ameachi that caused Cross River State Victory in 2019 when he collected Money from Ben Ayade to betray all the APC Candidates so as to prove a Perfidious and Callous Political Points.........*

*Let's all watch and see how the Games Progresses in Future*..

*PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI IS ALSO OUR MAJOR PROBLEM*....

For ondo, i think apc will win, to maintain relevance, Tinubu will make sure to go length and breadth to keep his power in this state. If he loses Ondo state that is the end of his dominace, he will be relegated to a local politician
I agreed APC will win landslide victory in ondo election and state machineries "might" be used if things try go contrary this will prove that the only reason Buhari seemed neutral in Edo election was simply because he is sympathetic to Obaseki and not because of US threat.

Thanks for calling me out, we thank God that Buhari let the people's vote counted and created an equal level playground for all. That's something that PDP stakeholders should learn so that we don't witness what Jonathan and PDP did in Ekiti and Osun states in 2014.

The Victory Of Obaseki Couldn't Have Been Possible Without This Man. Do You Agree?

THIS IS MY HERO IN EDO STATE ELECTION

In anything you do in life, look for loyal men. When you are drowning they will stretch to save you. When the storms starts, they will cover you. When they are made offers to betray, their conscience wont allow them.

This man in the picture is Obaseki's deputy. Comrade Philip Shaibu. Before Ize Iyamu was approached to decamp from PDP to APC to run the APC ticket. The offer was first made to Shaibu. He would have been the man challenging Obaseki today if he accepted Oshiomole's offer. Shaibu said I cannot betray my boss Obaseki.

He said him and Oshiomole have suffered oppression in their struggle for democracy and he wont dish out oppression to another man. He remained with Obaseki despite the pressure. Few weeks ago. The press man interviewing him asked him. What if you lose the election? He said he will rather lose honourably than betray his boss. He said he wont support the oppression of Obaseki.

This comrade is a force in Edo State politics. Oshiomole fears him in rural politics. He was instrumental to Oshiomole all through his campaigns and tenure. He has stayed with Obaseki and refused decamping. He was silent all through the heat of this election working dangerously underground. Their efforts were cemented with U.S and UK visa ban which weakened the planned usual federal might Oshiomole was banking on.

Comrade Shuaibu represents the man I will like to be to any politician I chose to support. Loyal men are rare. If you find one like Shaibu, hold him dearly. Well done to Shaibu. Congratulations to him and Obaseki.
People.are tired of APC government, imagine increase in fuel and electricity, imagine insecurity and impunity. I will not attribute the success to Shuaibu at all, the Edo people was tired of APC at the centre and what they represent. If Shuaibu had left Obaseki will still coast home but that doesnt mean he didn't try.

Hes loyalty is commendable.
He's not the sole winner but its steadfastness contributes....a tree does not make a forest.

The election of kogi and osun state should be visited...imagine how Davido's uncle won in osun and before we could blink our eyes they have declared it incomplete election or inconclusive..Tell me dino did not win..we all knew all they did..I laughed in kogi and osun languages.

I agree with you to a large extent, but don't forget that the mighty Northern Cabal of which El-Rufai is prominent would also want to teach Tinubu and Oshiomole a great lesson towards the 2023 Presidential elections.
It was not for nothing that Oshiomole was removed as the APC National Chairman. It was a strategic move.
INEC simply obeyed the instructions of the Cabal.
That is my analysis of what went down!

POOR DEJI !

DO NOT REASON LIKE A BABY.

THE TRUE HERO OF THE EDO POLITICS IS THE GOOD PEOPLE OF EDO STATE.

WHO STOOD THICK AND THIN WITH GOVERNOR OBASEKI WITH THEIR VOTES.

Loyalty is good but the SOVEREIGNTY OF THE EDO PEOPLE TO FREELY DECIDES WHO RULES THEM IS THE TRUE HERO OF THE EDO STATE ELECTION.

I commend Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu for his loyalty and devotion to his boss, governor Obaseki as he stood by him and the good people of Edo state during the crisis and election period.

No doubt Mr Shaibu helped in no small way in entrenching democratic order in Edo state.

My only observation is that THERE WAS LESS VOTES FROM ETSAKO AREA OF EDO STATE FOR OBASEKI and that is the area Mr Shaibu hails from which is Uzairue or Jattu area. ( ESTAKO WEST LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA )

It may be due to the fact that TINUBU AND OSHIOMOLE flood the areas with their influence and money to buy the people to APC.
