Here...Slums and Homelessness of Tokyo
San'ya, located in the south of Tokyo, is an area which can be referred to as the slum of Tokyo. With ⅙ of the population classified as poor, many of the population are forced out of their (tiny) houses and into the area, which is known as a place for people with mental disorders, poverty, TB and alcoholism. It is home to 25,000 people, with apx. 9,000 considered homeless. Homeless people also live in the main park, Ueno, and locals fear walking in it at night time.

Funny Guy. There are slums everywhere in the world. Go to berlin, newyork, london, Shanghai, there are unprivileged folk known as beggers and homeless people all over d world. Now compare that tokyo slum to makoko lagos and in all sincerity tell us one u ll rather live in

Is that slum not a haven compared to many streets in Nigeria? I have noticed this trend of always comparing pics of other countries with our own to make us feel good. We need to focus on our government and demand the best from them.

Mumu. No country is complete and perfect.. Nigeria is a shite hole please. 30% Development 70% underdevelopment. Places like tokyo and majority of the western world have like 80% development and 20% underdevelopment. Understand that before u start making stupid and brainless comparisons.

Your first pic is a Jamaican slum ,not Tokyo. No developed first world country has an inhabited neighborhood as bad as that .even the worst ghetto in developed countries you can tell it was organized before but now abandoned or not maintained . Keep consoling yourself .
