I applied for the role of a Technical support engineer on Saturday, 12th of September 2020. An email was sent to me acknowledging my application. After that I filled an application form and submitted.

After filling the application form, Tek experts said they will get back to me within 5 working days. This is the 7th working day and I have not received any email from them

I just hope they will get back to me before the end of this week. I don't even know what to do. I am just confused. It seems the recruitment process is slow.

Dear Candidate,

If a prospective employer does not get back to you as promised, send them a follow-up mail acknowledging how busy they could possibly be and then kindly inquiring about the progress of their recruitment exercise. Proceed to reiterate your desire to work with such a great company and then close by asking if there is anything you can do on your side to make their selection process any easier for them.

I have been on both sides of this exercise and I know the importance of such follow-up mails.

I just used my CV to apply. I didn't use a professional certificate. Is that required?
