Arteta on why he benched Elneny vs West Ham :
“Mo [Elneny] he deserved to play again today but I wanted to rotate,” Arteta said on King Fut.

“It was a game that we had to attack their smaller spaces and the way they defend, to create situations with Dani [Ceballos] in there.”

Taking everything into context, Partey and Xhaka will be competing, El neny and Ceballos and maybe Saka,ESR (if no loan) and Aoura .
Although, I'm not ruling out the likelihood of xhaka and Partey playing together.
Xhaka and Partey can't compete as they have opposite feet. Rather it would be Xhaka against Aouar, and that is if either is not playing central.

And please forget ESR, we have passed his level unless he turn to KDB overnight

Partey will need back up ..he can't play every match.
Also their partnership will kind of be too defensive.

Arsenal were among the Premier League clubs who underwent routine #COVID19 testing on Monday and despite coming into contact on Saturday with West Ham (who have since returned 3 positives), all
#AFC results came back today as negative

.@David_Ornstein : "Aouar and Partey are Arsenal's top CM targets. They are trying, whether they'll get 1 or both, idk. They have backup options. Could come down to who Arsenal are willing to shift out to free squad space and willingness of owners to sanction such investments."

I just dey observe peeps yarning about Ozil’s being dropped cos he can’t do this he can’t do that on the field.

News flash it’s just politics by the club hierarchy reason dude is not bulging too. He’s got nothing to lose. Or are we saying Ozil is so bad he can not feature in Carabao?

It’s not like we are using our entire first 11, most of the people playing didn’t play in our last game. We now have a better squad depth and it’s a good thing.

He’s not that exposed to physicality compared with outfield players. Moreover u were among the sell Martinez crew “he’s too good for bench”.

So what
Why will Martinez stay on bench when he can be better in other club. Do we have just 2 keepers?
