Domain authority offers a lot of flexibility in terms of how, where, and when you create content and links. It also carries wider effects (site-wide). The flip side is the amount of time and effort it takes to increase – far more than page authority.

Page Authority
PA, indicates the authority a specific page is having, this is a ranking factor considered more by google, this shows the authority of your page.

In my own opinion; PA is more important than DA, this is because the page you are trying to rank, is the priority not the entire website, so the more backlink you could generate for that page will you help you rank.

One pro tip for you; the best step to ranking, is to find out the Page authority of the site, ranking number 1 in the keyword you are targeting, then you can tell how much PA you will need to out rank such website.

NOTE: No SEO factor works on it own, your content remains the key factor, your inbound-outboundlinks, avoid keyword spamming in your content, and make sure to use good title to increase your CTR and avoid bounce back rate(this in my opinion, doesn't seem to affect SEO but the, it's ideal to be on the safe part.)

If the keyword difficulty is lower, then an proper on page SEO and a good Backlink will do the trick.

First search the keyword on google, then try to see the DA and PA of the site ranking on first page, then 2X the total words written (If your competitors write 1k words, you write 2k) do a proper on page SEO, then generates backlinks to the page, and watch it rank.

I heard that (new) blogs in the Google sandbox don't rank we until after about three months - will this still work, irrespective of the sandbox issue?

Regardless, once you're doing the necessary, do proper.

And this is what I advice.

Then look for they keyword they are ranking with low difficulty level.
