It's so funny the way I save people's number on my phone. You see weight(was helping with my weigh t), ga, nl(met him on Nairaland), ft ,and so on.

I know if some of them see it, they would just laugh.

I think it depends on where and when we meet except close family.

How do you save people's numbers on your phone. Let's laugh

Their full names, except those offering services

For example. Mechanic

I'd store as Ade mechanic, so whenever I want to call any mechanic, i'd just search for the directory "mechanic" and all the mechanics I have stored pops up.

But if i'm meeting a new friend, I just store your name as it is, as we get to know ourselves better, i'd ask for your full names and update your contact details.

Further details about the person, I include it in the notes section of the contact. See attached pic

Name and the location or event that we met if they're not too familiar to remember

Events, places or anything that can easily make me remember when they call. My family members and friends number is saved with their real name, with deir location to differentiate where I have d same name.

I use footballers name.

Eg. My homie was saved as giannakopoulos
Babe as Dimitri Payet. She Dribbles like mad

Lil bro as Jaap Stam. Guy is too Strong.

Recently I checked my phonebook and saw I still have the matric numbers of my buddies in university (e.g) Fatymore 0419. The number of times we had to write the other person’s name in attendance sha.

I started it recently and I love it!
Like don't attach rubbish to my name, just ask for my surname. Periodt

I can relate to the matric number ... got to a point I almost forget mine, how funny!
I basically save my contacts with where/how and the work/services you render, save for family and friends, I just use their names, except otherwise if we don't frequent converse on phone

Someone saved my number as "Oxygen Concentrator" because I once called her office to inquire about the price of the ones they had in stock – I didn't tell her my name during that first conversation though, BUT she didn't need to save my number.

It was only months later after we had become friends, that she admitted it to me. I almost choked from laughter.

I save numbers strictly using first names ONLY, but if I already have someone else using the same first name, then I just add a job description or a location to make the new contact more identifiable.

Most times I leave that task for true caller.

The day Nigeria policeman will go through your phone and see such a contact, you will spend 48hr in cell unless you cash them out asap

First name, middle name and last name (and nicknames too), date we first met if I still remember, birthday, your city of residence and any other details I know about you.

First name and the place we met.
Like the ones i met in school, their course/dept is attached to their name.
