The devil certainly had a role in man's fall, also the woman hence God punishing both the serpent which the devil used, and the woman for their role in the fall of man.

However the truth remains that despite the roles they both played, the bulk stopped with man. So without man's help, he would have never fallen regardless whatever they did.

Man only fell only because he heed the voice of his wife instead of That of God.

Genesis 3:17 (KJV)

And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

But instead of taking responsibility for his fall, man put the blame on the woman and that sadly is the path that most of his descendants have chosen to take.

No man, not even the devil can force us to fall into temptation or to be deceived without our own help.

The more we learn to take responsibility for our actions and decisions, the less chances of us falling into temptations and making silly mistakes.

Sinning and making mistake is part of God's plan. He created humans the way they are.. He gave us the ability to make choices.. He placed all the choices in front of us.. We are expected to choose... He only gave us laws to guide our choices, so that we can have a fruitful life... End of the day our body will return to earth and our spirit back to God who gave it.. The spirit is pure and does not need saving from anything..
It is God's spirit... Yes, we are spirit beings dwelling within a body fashioned from the dust of the earth..
