I will not be surprised if the NIGERIAN govt is behind this via remote control. Ghana needs to be taught a lesson. They have become too arrogant and conceited. Always boasting about how 'peaceful' their country is, 'compared to Nigeria'. They need this type of destabilization to humble them. Notice how this has arisen right after their recent harassment of Nigerians and their demolishing of part of the Nigerian embassy in Accra? Let's see how this pans out. The Ghanaian army is rated 28th in Africa, even below Burkina Faso. I'll be surprised if they can handle any type of insurrection. 5 Likes |

Christistruth00:Are western European people not whites? Why do they have countries that seperate them on language basis? France - french England - english Spain- spanish Germany- German Portugal - Portuguese And the list goes on and on. Language/ ethnicity (people with common belief, values and culture) is a very key factor in progress of a nation. These same Europeans came to africa to create identities for us. It is racist cus thats one of the things that cannot happen in europe 3 Likes |

Rosskii: They will handle it perfectly well. Ghana is mostly homogenous. Nigeria's problem is deep sitter tribalism, religious intolerance, and avarice. The Ghanaians will quell the insurrection when they decide to. |
Re: Ghana's Western Togoland Region Declares Sovereignty by Rosskii: 9:14pm On Sep 25, 2020 |
Wizzzzmike: Peabrain. Where is South Africa ''kicking out'' anybody? You're basing your foolish claim on the activities of a few hungry thugs marching in Jo'burg? Grow up. You will see that Ghana is worse than Nigeria by the time this insurrection reaches its zenith, and the useless Ghanaian army has to call on Nigeria to help them repel the rebels. 3 Likes |

Wizzzzmike: Yawwnnn......brainless. The USA is still fighting the Taliban after 20 years. If you had a working brain, you'd know that terrorists cannot be defeated by military might alone, unless you want mass civilian casualties, which is what the mighty Nigerian army has been ordered to avoid. 1 Like |

Bkayyy: No, it's failing cause Africans have not mastered structured systems of leadership. What historical ties do the people's in the US have? What historical ties do Canadians have? But these countries have put in place some structures that make each region responsible for their own growth. We need to borrow a leaf. 1 Like |

Lipscomb: Nigeria and many other African nations are not as diverse as some of the countries in the Americas. West Africans have people of the same race but different ethnicities in a country and they are using it as an excuse while some of the countries in the Caribbean have up to four main races and yet have managed. The problem with Africa is the mindset. Regardless of how much they break into pieces, the issue will continue. I am Canadian and nobody really asks my "state of origin". Being Canadian is enough. Everybody is from everywhere. Just pay your tax and you're welcome. Each region is autonomous. And any other language you speak asides French and English doesn't count. But in Africa, there's so much emotional attachment to one's region of origin to the extent that some kill for it. If Igbos leave Nigeria, the states will still fight one another. It's just sad. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Kwili: This is really funny. You see why I don't buy those crap that the economists feed us sometimes, right?? You want to know the real truth about S/Sudan, then go there or ask someone who has been there. Don't sit down with your phone and read jargons online and then come here to regurgitate them. It is an insult to people like us who know what is really up over there. Fastest growing economy indeed. That country is just another oil-drunk mono-economy conundrum just like Nigeria. They simply "sell" the oil and "share" the money. Does that sound familiar? So, I wonder how those guys came up with that forecast or whatever it is. That same oil is what is fueling the endless conflict and corruption over there. A kinsman once served at Nigeria's diplomatic mission over there. So, you should know that I really know what's up over there. FYI, I know you would naturally think that I am talking nonsense. So, to be doubly sure, just hop on a plane and go see things for yourself. First hand experience. 2 Likes |

For those saying that this is an attempt at setting the ills of colonialism aright, I've got this for you: You all have got it totally wrong. There was never an entity called "Togoland" prior to the coming of the European imperialists. Yes, I said so. What these people call "Togoland" today is also just another creation of the Europeans- pretty much like all other African countries. Togoland was created by the Germans who had come into the colonisation game late and were looking to carve out their own African colonial empire in the late 1800s. The Germans actually kidnapped some African chiefs, forced them to sign of their lands to Germany after which they then unified the various realms of these chiefs into one entity known as Togoland. Let's just set the records straight here in order not to miss the point. |

WoundedLamb: North America has achieved integration over a very long time. Their cooperation today didn't fall from the sky. In Europe most of these countries are hugely if not entirely homogeneous in some cases. This has greatly fostered cooperation. Africa is constructed in a very bad way with greatly disjointed nations due to senseless acts of the colonialists. While this cooperation can be achieved it will take long long years like it did America. There is a great need for African governments to allow their territories become redefined. There can't be progress without cooperation. |
Re: Ghana's Western Togoland Region Declares Sovereignty by SlayerForever: 9:28am On Sep 26, 2020 |
mansakhalifa: There was no Togoland but they were a mostly homogeneous group till Britain saw a need (God knows what) to slice part of this people and add to their gold coast. Thereby creating this anomaly. Those people in that region are forever inclined to Togo. |
