Go into the inner roads in every local govt in Lagos and show us the infrastructure there. Lagos is making too much money to not fix roads in the inner communities. It's very annoying

All over the world showcase their good part of their cities. there are lot of slums, dirty places and some nasty things you will never imagined. go to YouTube, you will see a lot of videos of dirtiest/ slums in america, europe and other countries.

when you see some good things just appreciate it and ask for more not just complain of everything.

I like your sincerity from the first statement.

Of course, we always need to hold our leaders accountable because if they fail to perform, they know we'll vote them out.

I can guess you go out a lot, you'd probably have seen that there's so much traffic on Lagos roads nowadays. That's partly because of the rehabilitation, reconstruction or palliative work going on in some of our roads, for instance the Ketu-Mile2 route where they're using concrete on the roads.

But let's tell ourselves the truth, the government cannot do all roads at once even if they have the means/funds to, the state will literally shut down due to holdup.

You may also realise that the LSPWC has woken up to their responsibility of fixing potholes. You mentioned Aguda, you'll be familiar with Enitan street, the LSPWC have been there like twice to fix the bad portions on the road. That's responsiveness. They've done same in several places around Lagos too.

Coming to how much Lagos realised everyday, I think most of us make this mistake thinking there's money kept somewhere that the government has refused to touch to fix the roads. Remember Lagos has a large economic sector, therefore you can't afford to neglect some sectors in favor of another. You can't say because you need more money to fix roads therefore you want to abandon Tourism. My point is that so much money you think Lagos has or generates daily is being competed for by various sectors.

I won't hold brief or defend a government that performs badly and I understand the pain motorists and Lagosians go through in some areas as a result of bad roads but what I won't accept is that as we clamor for our roads to be fixed, we vilify those who want to highlight the positive side of Lagos for people to appreciate how far we've come.

To the areas you've mentioned, I've followed LSPWC schedule on road palliatives and I've seen them fix some roads in those areas. They haven't done all. Also, you may have read from few days ago when Sanwo launched 377 ward projects and most of it were road projects.

This is how Lagos roads will gradually be fixed. While we want our roads to be fixed to have a smooth driving experience, we should also allow those who chose to launder the image of the state in a positive way, because this thread won't and many more of it won't stop the government of the day from completing other road projects scattered across the state.

Remember, these roads you saw in the first page where once bad roads that turned out to be this way.
