By “good life,” I mean living in a good environment, driving good cars, 2 travels a year, health insurance, feeding well, wearing nice clothes etc

So, how much income is needed to live a good life in Nigeria?

Due to the nature of Nigerian economy, you can't pin-point a particular amount that will guarantee you a good life persay. what you need is a job paying above 135k and your wife is earning above 100k too monthly

to me tho, good life is being able to chase and achieve your dreams while still being able to cater for your family convinently

When you mean how much is needed? Do you mean income per month? 400k for a single person might be manageable if the person owns a house. However a good life to you might be a shitty life to the next person.

You have no idea how loaded this question is. Everything is relative. Maybe if you state your household income?

3MM income a month is not even close to a good lifestyle in Naija for some people while some could happily achieve their desires with 400k or less a month.

Good environment means what? Ventilation in your accommodation? good roads? stable electricity? nice schools. . . . . . . . .?
Good cars means what? Secondhand or brand new? Car age? Luxury or utilitarian? SUV or sedans. . . . . ?
Travels to where? Turkey? LA? Jakarta? Dubai? Accra? Johannesburg? Cairo? NY? Milan, Zurich? Manchester . . . . . . .?
Feeding well means mama put? Professional in-house chef? Eateries? Fine dining restaurant?
Nice clothes- quality? Used or new? Brand name or not? If brand name, what brand level - Walmart or Gucci. . . . . . . .?

Your background, location, lifestyle and number of dependants plays a major role.

A single guy can be okay with 300k monthly while that amount might not be sufficient as feeding allowance for the children of a married man.

You can live like a king in some remote areas on a monthly salary of N850k, but same salary might not cover your monthly expenses in some average neighbourhoods in Lagos not to talk of high brow areas.

So, no size fits all. Income that will sustain you comfortably is relative. Just work hard, be contented and make yourself happy always.

A thriving business of your own that yields a profit of 2.5M monthly can afford you such lifestyle.. that is if you're not looking at aquiring a private jet which may still
be achievable though if you adopt a strict saving habit.

This question get as e b o. It depends on ur standard. A man earning 100k might be feeling on top and still be able to enjoy those things u mentioned, a man earning like 800k might be indebted to different financial institution bcuz of his taste.
For example, I cook local rice garnished with locust bean and sapele fish and feel satisfied, d other one cooked fried rice with salad and still not satisfied because he used bama as d cream instead of heinz salad cream.
Na taste apart from family wahala. No money is too big or just enough for me.

This is really a deep and important question. I am interested in having a closer discussion on what "beta life" or "good life" is for us Nigerians. Many have tired this to finance, but I feel more are needed.

Living a good life is not only about your income. You can have millions in your account but a trigger happy Police, ritualists, Fulani herdsmen snuff life out of you like a chicken.

You have Tesla ride but no charging station. You have a Ferrrari, no good roads to drive it. You have bright ideas, no infrastructure and right government policies to nurture them to life.

In summary, there is no such thing as a "Good life" in Nigeria. You can only cope with life in Nigeria.

Going by your criteria, you will need atleast 1M monthly to live this life. If you’re married with kids, you'll need atleast 2.5M monthly to live this kind of life.
