bros you talk well. I was born and bred in Anambra State Nnewi precisely. The increased pace of crime is unprecedented.

Just last week or thereabouts, one man was shot on the leg after being robbed. This was before it was 8.30pm.

My brother im not from Anambra but I’m a Nigerian but I will tell you Anambra is still far better than some area in this part of world when we are talking about murderer crime in cities in the whole world
Do you believed that the 1st -50 cities in case of murdered in the world you CAN’T find any Nigeria cities there.

Only Mexico take 1-7 position ( 7 cities) in this crime.
2 American cities are there.
3 S. Africa cities are among
And many more

1-50 or more NO Nigerian cities you can find on the list.
So we are not worst in terms of crime in Nigeria compare to others country.
Even the best 10 safest country in the world still live with crime ,NO zero crime country.

The top 10 safest countries in the world are as follows:

Iceland
New Zealand
Portugal
Austria
Denmark
Canada
Singapore
Slovenia
Japan
Czech Republic

Please i will need a quote, not really a quote but sought of a ball park estimation on what it will cost to plaster an eight bedroom duplex.

We are talking

8 ensuite bedrooms (my apologies on the number of bathrooms grin)

2 sitting rooms ( 1 with a dinning room)

1 visitors toilet

1 lobby

2 kitchens

1 large store room

1 laundry room

I know its much but the house was built as an extended family abode for all to come and go hence the size.

So if one was to undertake the plastering of this project what would it entail with regards to

How many trips of sand?

Bags of cement?

Cost of labour

You shared a gruesome video of an attack in Borno , one of the 19 states that comprises Northern Nigeria to back up the premise the North of the country is now a "killing field" and "a Somalia within Nigeria". No one is arguing that Boko Haram insurgents isn't a problem in Borno State.

What i don't get is how that now automatically smears the North as a no go area, a place one goes to die. So you mean Kaduna, Kano,Sokoto, Benue, Taraba, Kebbi,Nassaraw, Niger all peaceful and booming states in the North should be avoided because something is going on in far away Borno? That is downright silly and myopic.

And that's the last i will respond to this particular boring topic
I beg to disagree on some of the so called peaceful states listed above, besides you cannot categorize Nassarawa and Benue as Northern States. Having said that, Kano and Jigawa are the only 2 States in the North that are relatively peaceful. Every other gaddamn place in the North either has boko haram terrorists or armed bandits unleashing mayhem. Before you quote me just know I am presently on ground touring the interior of the North.

There is crime and insecurity everywhere my brother, if i show you the statistics for knife related deaths in London you jaw will drop. But some will have you believe you are safe everywhere but the North.

I am also from Nnewi, in fact my village is not far from the place you described as your workshop, police station around that Secretariat side right? I am not comfortable with some of the stories i hear with relation to crime.
I'm not from Nnewi but I was born here. I don't care about the crime rates in every part of the world. My concern is that this city is rapidly changing from what we know it as

just did, they confirmed that part of the estate, i.e the back is in litigation but their lawyers are handling it.

they dont think its a big issue as work has continued on the land.

but will have to carry out my own findings.

It is not a big issue? Don't mind them o! . Any land litigation in Nigeria (world) is a BIG ISSUE. From precedent, it is not uncommon not to have access to the land (estate) after payment. Ownership litigation tussle is a common factor with regards to estate vendors in Nigeria. Some if not most don't end well. Like you said carry out proper and thourough investigation and proceed with caution before making payment.

Nice one. If you can, make sure the part you are allocated isn't the part of the estate under litigation. Court cases are too slow in this country.

As for the newspaper, I don't know the name of the newspaper. I just got the picture.

Why not call the company that posted the notice on the newspaper, find out where exactly is under dispute and if it extends to your property

Following the successful mission to my village site by Michlins and our extensive WhatsApp chats, there are two factors that would determine the kickoff of the job.
1. Quotations
2. Re-scheduled date/approval of my vacation.
While I prefer to be on ground for the job, I could initiate the preliminary stages as soon as the above factors are done with.
Kudos too to Michlins whose dedication and commitment to what he does best made his PR look like a child's play.
The pics as shown in 1,2,3 are part of our chats so far.
I'll keep trending as we proceed.

Water is very heavy and as such the design of its supporting structure must be sturdy.

The conventional way of building a tank tower is to weld or bolt at intersections.
However, a gusset plate is a connection at the intersection of two beams or a beam preventing it from bending or buckling at the connection point when it is loaded or force is applied to it.

It acts as short brace and also give more area for welding or installing bolts. Thus making the connection between the 2 steel stronger.

If you check the last tank tower I shared sir, the braces are the angle iron and they have very little welding area (just the tip).
That can never be as solid as a tower reinforced with gusset plate.

Gusset plates not only serve as a method of joining steel members together but they also strengthen the joint which is the koko.

You’ll always see this used on telecommunication towers, bridges and other steel structures.

Thank you Sir for the detail explanations as usual.
I havecseen very many of the tanks stand made like in the pic2 which you said is unprofessional. That means we have been living under danger... unfortunately, stands on some of my projects are made like that. God save us.

You mentioned once that something can be done to reduce the noise made by these steel doors, care to shed more light on that? The noise is the main thing i find off putting.
