If he was born 1929, that means he was already a 32 year-old when Kuwait attained independence from Britain in 1961.

Seriously, I had no idea. Always though he was somewhere in his 70s.

And that also means he was Minister for foreign affairs when Sadam invaded Kuwait. Says a whole lot about him. But still, you've got to give it to him, he saw it all.
