Aston Villa confirm the signing of Barkley from Chelsea on a season-long loan.

The 26-year-old England international, who has been capped 33 times by his country, has made 52 appearances for Chelsea in the Premier League and Champions League, since his transfer to Stamford Bridge in January 2018.

Barkley burst into the Everton first team aged 17 after graduating from their youth academy and he went on to net 27 goals from midfield in 179 appearances for the Toffees.

Dean Smith said: “Capturing a player of Ross’s quality is a real coup for our Club and I am certain he will thrive here and improve our team.”

Ross Barkley is another example of how the English media hypes young English players. We have seen it before and we will see it again. Am sure if either Salah or Mane were English players, one of them would have won the Balon Dor last year.

Any one expecting a'spectacular season from CFC this season will not only be disappointed but could be diagnosed of high BP. Their current situation requires time.

He is always returning back with the ball instead of pushing forward

His crosses are flop, it either hit the defending opponents or over crossing

If only a sharp player can take over that wing, Chelsea would change for better.

Permit me to say but its your type that once their clubs are performing well they would like to associate with the said club but once they drop form off you go.

Mind you chelsea is rebuilding the same rebuilding you guys started 4 seasons ago. it doesn't take a day for players you just bought from different teams to become a team.
