Pedigree is the best breed...How does one identify which is which?
Pedigree is a dog with traits that the breeder has liked and preserved from generations... This is why they are more expensive because they're dogs the breeders can vouch for.

It's then up to the breeder to tell you if he knows the generations of the dog and can vouch for its characters

Psoul:

This is beautiful
I have two Rott. They are 8months.
Pple will always tell me that you are making your dog to know people and that will make him not to be aggressive.
I use to tell them I don't want aggressive dogs. I want smart, intelligent and security conscious dogs.
My two dogs are very intelligent. Dey don't bark unnecessarily. When they do, check out there must be something very wrong around.
They can never pee nor poo in their cage. They will always let you know that they are pressed. They do it only on the portion of the house mapped out for peeing and pooing.
You dear not attack or shout at any member of the family in their presence.
Dey don't eat food or drink water that is not in their bowls.
They know our clothes, shoes and slippers. They pick them from outside, return them inside.
As a stranger, u dare not cross the area they believe is their security territory without a member of the house.
When you bring them outside, they remain calm, no barking or attack cos they were socialize to know their territory.

I don't know why Africans love their dogs to be aggressive.
Aggressive dog can even at a point become problem to the owner.
I have seen a dog owner inviting a hunter to come and kill his dog cos he has become uncontrollable.
That is effect of wanting your dog to be aggressive.

Man.. They're exactly like my Khal here... I also noticed when Khal is in a new environment, he's calm but doesn't act like it's his... He's just confident and won't mind anyone who's not posing as a threat..... But the moment he gets back into his territory... He starts his parade. Lol.

While he was a puppy, I got a lot of unsolicited advices from random people telling me to cage him up and use canopy to cover the cage so he wouldn't see anyone so he'd be aggressive and I wondered what the craze was all about.

Why would I purposefully breed a notorious dog? For what reason... A notorious dos is a very insecure one and it can do and undo even to its owner.

The best part of everything is how Khal stands at alert when something has changed in the environment like he's telling everyone "Back up... Back up!! Something is wrong... Let me find out what it is"

You trained your dogs well sir

Let me test if it's truly a Rottweiler.

A Rottweiler can lick you to death, true or false? Your time starts now

Lmao.. Give Khal the chance and he'd lick your whole face while resting his whole body on you

I'm a huge dog lover and so far, I have two dogs.. A 10yr old brown GSD "Major" and a 1 year old Rottweiler "Khal Drogo". I have also never seen a dog that wouldn't vibe with me except recently a chow chow that seems apprehensive of everyone.

But this thread is about my boy, Khal.

He's an indoor dog... He's just like the last born in the house.. Lol.. Yeah.. He's that integrated.

You seem so passionate about your dog.

Writing a short story book about this, for early readers, especially kids from 1-4 yrs old, would be a great idea

His character?

* perfect temperament. Khal will show no sign of aggression until you attack someone from his family or a random kid. The real hero.

*He'd back up an intruder into a corner and stay there with him until someone from inside comes to let him in.

* You're a friend if you talk to anyone in his family... Should you start a fight even after being accepted by him.. You're a threat.

I was out with him on a walk when I met someone I know... We stood to have a talk while Khal sat quietly beside me... Another man joined and along the line, he said "But this your dog seems stupid... He didn't bark at me when I came"

I asked him if that was his orientation of what a good dog is and asked him to push my chest and see what the dog would do".... Hahahah

* Visits every one in their room every morning and has a quick morning nap on my bed.

* Understands every command you can think of... Go out, too rough., bad boy, good boy, stay, go, Call Peter... Etc

* If he needs to urinate, he'd pick his belt up and bring it to anyone to take him out.

* He's friends with chickens... And will stand his ground when we meet any other dog that wants to attack him... His massive head has always discouraged any other dog though.

Attached Is a picture of Khal after a quick bath and another picture of Khal and Peter having a Bro moment at a balcony
I'm a dog lover but there's no how I will ever think of making a rot my indoor close paddy

I remember when you created a thread a few months ago complaining that your dog tried to bite you and barked at you once angry
We already warned you and told you that your dog was stupidly aggressive and would probably bite you at a certain point .
As a dog owner, YOU'RE THE ALPHA not the dog, if you dog barks at people anyhow or pisses anywhere it likes then it is insecure and a very poorly trained dog.
No dog should bark carelessly or be aggressive for no reason.
RIP to the dog, hopefully, when you get a new dog you won't make the same mistakes in training it even tho I feel you will make those mistakes (You seem like a stubborn person) angry
Thank you for the unsolicited advice but how is this related to his murder?

Disturbed Neighbours dealt with her.
It's rare for dogs not to pick up strange foods on the ground or floor.
If neighbours have warned you of your dog noise or it killing animals around, just know that dog would die soon.
Take advice from the OP and train your dog his way if indeed his dog is as he has said. His is REALLY A DOG.
We know who killed him and no, it is not a neighbor. His dog and mine have different temperaments so I am not taking any advice from the OP because my dog grew up under different circumstances. Mine was a super alpha, so shove your advice where it's needed.

Seems Khal is not an alpha male. Mine was an alpha, very ugly, very aggressive to outsiders and very territorial. Despite the fact that our cleaner had been visiting since he was a wee pup, he always barked up a storm that could be heard all around the neighborhood anytime she came into the compound. As long as you are not a member of his family (us), you are his enemy. As he grew bigger, he graduated to running to the gate and shaking it with pure menace when strangers knocked at the gate. Even when he was dying of poison, he still managed to mark a few areas in the compound before crawling under the vehicle and falling into a coma. He fought with death for close to 24 hours and even in a coma, it took two people to restrain him as he fought and cried in pain.

It's almost a month now but water still comes out of my eyes (like now) each time I remember Gift. He did not deserve the way he died. He loved and protected us with a single minded fierceness.

The last pic is him in a coma in the early hours of the morning. He died at almost midnight of that same day. My heart still bleeds.
ohhhhh!! who could ever killing such a harmless creature

Wow.. Please socialise you puppy.. She needs to know that not everyone is a potential dangerous person... Bring a few of your friends who are not afraid of dogs... Hold your dog by the neck collar and gently introwyour friend to her with the other hand - Fingers to nose.

And oh.. You might need to hold a cane handy.

Okay I think that will do ...thanks a lot ...
