Hello house,

Please I need your urgent help. Got this GL450 2008 MODEL and it have been parked for some time because I was waiting for the plate number.

Now I have started driving it, I noticed that when I press the pedal it will move wonderfully till the speedometer shows 55km, then it looks as if is just applied the brakes,and it will kind of start deccelarating.

Also the front passenger window went down and has refused to come up since.

Please auto gurus in the house or anybody that have gone through this kind of experience should help me with suggestions and advice.

Scan the car too but I suspect rats since it was parked for long.


Not going above 55km might be limp mode.

Get someone with a good scanner to pull any codes and start from there

You've to scan the vehicle first, rodents might have damaged the wiring. You can bring it over for a free scan.

Check your rims
They all have sensors so if there's a bent rim it won't go more than that 55km/h

cars are diagnosed using scanners, going the shade tree way always cost more and causes more problems

Now I did not say you shouldn't scam n your car
Because it was as a result of a scan that's how I noticed the fault.

I don't do any mechanical work on my car without scanning

if it is true that the rims of that car also has modules to detect if it is bent,so not to accelerate past 55km,then all of this control modules are just disasters waiting to happen,you will have relays, switchs,fuses,many things to go wrong
