Of course I won't understand how a slave master came in with whip and beat you silly until just like Kunta-Kinte, you screamed aloud:

"My name is Toby(Nigeria)"

Because the alternatiive is the state of how it was during our ancestors time.Anarchc violence among tribes

Bigger tribes defeating, rading and dominaing and enslavng smaller tribes. At a level worse than the current securty crisis we have right now.

Our ancestors raided other tribes, enslaved them, sold them to other tribes, and even to Europeans and arabs......

Maybe ur ancestors did not have Nigeria....but back then, am sure sme of them would have lkd the idea of a neutral body keeping the peace among everyone....because people were tired of living in fear of whether they would be raided by the big tribe next door....

And yes, Nigeria is not perfect. But the alternatives are just as bad. No African country spliits peacefully. Until after a violent period of war.

And if y thnk tribal homogeneity works...hello Somalia.
