Let them go and do CIIN if it is just to rake in migration points. Search all about CIIN here and updates are on it on this very page.
Can I study for CIIN in one month without initial background in insurance?

Good evening. I have a BSc in industrial chemistry and have experience in quality control. Is there a certification or diploma I can do that will increase my points?

Seniors in the house please help me answer this

Hello guys. I need clarification on this

I have roughly (7000 usd) in my SALARY dorm account (deposited and untouched since dec 2019) and then my naira savings account with the same bank which I use only for savings has had an average of 1.5m and has grown to 3.1m over the course of this 6 months period.

My gross salary is 5.3 million annually and I've been working for over 2 years now in this particular bank. Prior to that I was earning 2m per annum at a law firm.

Now my QUESTION is this,

1) IS IT OKAY TO USE MY SALARY DORM ACCOUNT WITH REF LETTER FROM THE BANK? The equivalent of the 7,000 usd should round up to about 9,600 CAD?

2) IS IT OKAY TO TRANSFER THE 3M IN MY SAVINGS AC TO STANBIC MUTUAL FUNDS TO AVOID EXPLAINING MY CASH DEPOSITS INTO MY SAVINGS ACCOUNT AND GET A LETTER FROM THEM OR SHOULD I JUST EXECUTE A DEED GIFT BY LETTING MY DAD SEND ME THE REMAINDER OF THE 3,400 CAD?? Should be about 1.3m

Thank you!!! I just want to do everything right with no wahala biko.

God bless

Now, is it okay to use that as my POF? I don’t want the Visa officer to think that I get Money from people and deposit cash. Or should I transfer the funds to mutual funds? I’m confused

Please someone should explain to me how tie breaker works.
I got into the pool September. My score is 471.
If on the next draw, the cut off is 469 with a tie breaker of August 8th for example, am I going to get an ITA? Or is it only going to be people that got into the pool with 469 and above, before August 8th that would receive an ITA?

Yes you would because your score is above the minimum score of the supposed draw.

The rule will affect those on exactly 469- if the draw score is 469.
It simply means anyone with 469 but entered the pool after August 8 will not be selected. All other persons above 469 will be selected. and those with 469 but submitted on or before August 8.

Hi guys..So I initially started my process in 2017 dropped it to do my masters ..Got masters and Declined ITA because my POF was not together.I dont want to sound pessimistic but can someone add me to a whatsapp group.Where I can talk to someone about my POF lodgement.I learnt they are giving people refusal for Treasury bill etc Is this true? what is the rule for fixed deposit?
I need real professional advice because it will pain me if my POF causes refusal..Can someone add me to a group where I can get professional help on how to lodge my POF?
I am 28 and unmarried and I feel like ive wasted too much time already in this country.
My CRS is 478

Certificate, and it's just 3papers, registration ends 18th of this month. The exam is in multiple choice format. There is a group for people that Intend to write it this year. It costs around 50k and transcript is 20k. Exam begin 9 of November, results would be out almost immediately (Dec) it is by far the cheapest option (I think). By next yet the syllabus would be revised and one would need to write 5 paper's. The pass rate is relatively high but you still need need. Study material are available for download on the group or can be purchased @ their office @ ebute meta.
Hope I have been able to help

Thanks for this information. I just registered for the exams. Please, how does one get added to the group? I would like to join.

Alright then but you would have to send me a message, I'm not the group admin, I'll give you her number, once you call her she would add you.

Seniors in the house. I need assistance on this pls

Seniors in
the house pls I need some assistance and advise.

I applied for express entry using my Canadian masters degree and work experience.
Yesterday I got a mail from CIC requesting my biometrics and also my Educational Credential Assessment report.
Is this normal? Considering the fact that I have a Canadian degree, and I didn’t claim points for my Nigerian degree during the application.
Also, I already had my biometrics in 2015, and it’s supposed to be valid until 2020. Do I need to do another biometrics?

Thanks for the assistance

Hi, please I'd love to know more about this. Which of the courses did you go for, was it certificate or diploma and how long and how much was it? Thanks

I'm also just about to take the exam but the group admin is in the insurance field so she way above the 1st level, for this immigration process you just need to take certificate level which is 3 papers. I registered in the 1st week so I got a 15% so I paid a total of approximately 50k for the complete registration. I don't think the discount promo is still available so yours would be slightly higher.

Nobody is being refused for using treasury bills or fixed deposit. You just need to show how you accumulated the funds either by gift deed or from savings from salary or whatever.

My 2 cents below:

Biometrics - when was your AOR and did you get a Biometrics Instruction Letter? The new regulation is that biometrics are no longer needed if you have done one in the last 10 years, this was announced Sep 22 effective Sept 10. So if your app was submitted before then, perhaps you are not exempt and will still need to provide it.

ECA - the IRCC website says you do not need one for a Canadian degree so perhaps it is not clear to them that your degree is from Canada. Did you include your degree certificate and perhaps transcript and the DLI number? (see application checklist on page 1 for more details). Also hope it was not a distance learning program...see checklist for this also.

I believe so, only if you can not get a reference letter from your employer in IRCC's format though.

Seniors can weigh in.
