No tariff hike in Nigeria is ever people oriented, it’s just a way to put more funds in government coffers for continuous embezzlement. I wonder what excuse the president will hit us with next? Maybe it also doesn't make sense for Saudi Arabia to be paying more for darkness than Nigeria.

My bill has increased by 100% and I get far less than the usual supply and also spend more on petrol for.the generator. I no vote for this kind change oo

Before nko,we know all this.

If they are serious they should metre everybody in Nigeria. So that when they decides to give their darkness we will all know that we are not paying for such darkness.

Once they address the metre issues,we will know they are genuine.
metre billing system is more costly oh. From experience

Give electricity to private sector to generate at controlled pricing. How hard can this be.

Brazil today, with about the same population as Nigeria and classified as a developing country produces over 100, 000 megawatts of electricity. Allow private sector with competition and pragmatic price control (no subsidy), with fair margin for profitability and decades of tax breaks to reduce the overall cost burden.

We all know this sector would likely never improve until it is properly privatized.
u are very correct!

Naija=200m population struggling to generate 4000megawatts of electricity

Brazil=200m population generating 137,000+megawatts of electricity.

Going by these statistics if Brazil is considered second world developing country then naija still an earlyman STONE AGE country

The truth is that supply has improved greatly over the past few months. But the hike is crazy oh. . .. I used to buy about 300kw for 10k, now it's barely 170kw.

Which way Nigeria?

That means you guys are having constant light and are at list paying for what you use.

Some don't see light up to one week in a month, yet they pay the full amount for estimation.

Subsidy removed: Our refineries are still not working, bad roads everywhere

Switched from postpaid to prepaid: Many people are yet to be metered

I thought SIEMENS company, Germany has been contracted by the FG to generate and supply power in Nigerian, what has happened to that plan?

Minister for power is just playing a fast one on Buhari. Minister for power is conniving with the DISCOs to rip Nigerians.
