This your stupid legal gra gra will deny people the right to adequate medical care in future

By the time hospitals start demanding full sum upfront before attending to patients maybe you and the judge will wear a scrub and do the surgery yourself

Or you think staff salaries and drugs are purchased with “the law says”

Please petition the human right desk oga

I dont discuss with IGNORANT 1diots like you.
No wonder policeman will shot you, flog you and you will stil be saying Sorry-saah!
Who said anything about Hospitals demanding full payment before treatment?
Honestly, l should not give ears to simpletons like you, you desevre to die in your ignorance. Happiest people. grin
Keep it up, by the time you end up in prison one of these days, you will learn your lesson.

Irrespective of what all of you here are saying, No Hospital has the right to abridge a Patients Right to Freedom, without a valid Court Order!
It is called KIDNAPPING!
I am really fuming right now that a Hospital would do this, even after she has paid #160,000.00!
Look at the gilr that was able to produce that amount of money, does she look like a rich person?
And to think that the matter was reported to the Police and they didnothing? What manner of stupid Policement are those?

IGNORANCE is at play here! Our Hospital owners are taking too much law into their hands of recent and this must be curbed.
The worst the Hospital could do is to come to a written, repayment arrangement with her, which is enforceable at law but to hold her against her will will land that MD in Prison, if he doesnot release her immediately
.
If you hold anyone against their will, it is Kidnapping, at Law, so iffs, no butts.
Even the Police are only allowed "limited time" to hold somebody without charging them to court, usually for simple cases, itis 24hrs otherwise you MUST release them on Bail.
For Capital offences like Murder, you have to charge them to court and the Court will most liley refuse bail and thus remand the accuse in prison pending trial date.

I will be petitioning the Human Rights office at Alausa, Ikeja over this nonsense but how come the NAME of the Hospital is missing in this Report or is it a fake story? shocked angry

It's people like you that breed chaos for no reason, the ngo that brought this matter up cannot settle this, then you no be ngo.

Can't you ask the question why private hospital, government hospital no dey..why pass your economic burden on another person private business. Government hospitals will have been the best bet .

1. This is Nigeria. Even if she proves to them she is working (hairdressing) no hospital will allow her go without paying her bills except she drops something as collateral.

2. It's both parties fault. You can't blame her alone and forgot that the act was done by two people.

Will the hospital MD die, if thieves rob him of the remaining balance of 90K?
If she can struggle and pay 160K under this condition, l am certain she can pay the balance, if given time and some fools here are nonsense.

Interesting advise, except that I don't see a man anywhere in your article.

I see a young girl who became a mother, I see a girl who carried a pregnancy, I see a girl being held hostage inside the hospital, I see a girl sleeping on the floor with her baby... when she gets out, this girl is the one whose lifestyle has been altered as she has now being thrown into the world of motherhood.
Let's not forget she probably doesn't have a job/business.

Meanwhile the hunter is still out there living his life with no care in the world.
Did he commit a crime? NO
Will he be arrested? NO
The day he finally backtracks and decides to be part of the life of the child and the girl, will people advise her to forgive and accept him? YES

Who lost at the end of the day? ONLY THE GIRL.

Yet for some reason, it's men you're advising not to fück...

Will you advise a lion not to kill/eat humans, or is it humans you advise to be careful and protect themselves around lions?

grin grin grin grin grin

You no dey ever disappoint.

The medical doctor should not be blamed for any reason whatsoever for detaining the mother and the baby after delivery. If anyone should be blamed, it should be the government.
Atleast he helped deliver the baby successfully through CS operation using the private hospital's resources.

Why should the government be blamed. Is it the government that impregnated her?

As it is, i don't care about who got her pregnant. whether he's absconded or not financially capable of paying up the bills> the treatment meted on her by the hospital is totally bad and as strong i'm, i almost cried reading this news. God, please provide for those who do not have............... sad cool

Just go and pay her bills and stop your useless tears, the hospital has nurses, doctors, suppliers, pharmacy, gateman etc to pay and those people have there own challenges, some of them refused to fvck just anyone so as not to be in her situation. It's not a charity hospital and they did well by saving her life. Do you know how many hospitals that won't admit her?
