Ifesinachi22:What exactly is your problem sir? Why are you crying more than the bereaved? There are so many towns/kingdoms with Traditional rulers that are not of Indigenous origins e.g 1) Spain and the ruling Bourbon Royal dynasty which is French origin 2) England/UK with the ruling Windsor Family (original name= Saxe-Coba Bortha) which is German origin. 3) Bini Kingdom with the reigning Oronmiyan which is of Ife origin. 4) Onitsha Kingdom with the reigning Ezechima dynasty originating from Bini 5) Kano, Zauzzau, Katsina ,Hadeiji and Daura' Emirates with the reigning dynasties being of Fulanis descent. The same things happened in Bida and Ilorin. All these may not pose anything for these rulers if their subjects aren't complaining. So why is it your problems sir? |

LukasPodolski:You misunderstood this guy. Because of Afonja which had become Igbo or IBO social media name for the Yorubas, if they mention Emir, he was only referring to Ilorin where nearly all the wealth of Kwara is invested leaving Igbomina and other lands underdeveloped. It is very hard and impossible to believe Emir is just a mere religious title when Olusola Saraki travelled to Sokoto to report Late Rear Admiral Lawal (Kwara Governor 1999 - 2003) to Maccido the then Sultan of Sokoto that he wanted to install Oba at Ilorin. Apart from Afonja descendants and Idi Ape people, most Yorubas in Ilorin claim they are Fulani at Abuja and in the North, when they come to Lagos, they claim Yoruba. Of recent, Yorubas in Kogi and part of Kwara said they want to join South West. The Okun people and the Igbomina are welcomed. The Ilorin people with their Alfas are more deadly Muslims coming to empower MURIC and other Muslim organizations to scuttle Oduduwa Republic freedom. You are one of them. |

oyatz:Breaking down the history of the Royal families in Spain and UK which you mentioned will take a lot of space and time. It has nothing to do with Ilorin situation. Since Ilorin is not complaining, they should remain where they are and not scuttle Oduduwa Nation struggle with their Islamic mercenaries mission with their Islamic brothers in Yoruba land. I don't know anything about how the Fulani became the ruler of Bida - Tapa people of Niger State, please, kindly give me a reference or link to Books or Historical materials on Bids. |

No matter how they try to publicize this oduduwa of a thing, the fact remains that very few yorubas are in support while a lot are not in support because they still have hope that things would get better... But in few years if the country continues like this the agitation would get stronger. Majority of the people in Kwara state are Yorubas while among them there are bastard Yorubas as well. People like Saraki and last PDP candidate in Kwara state Yorubas are one even if you are in Togo, Benin or Brazil |

wirelessmaster:Truly, Governor Alabi Lawal, the then Governor of Kwara wanted to remove the Emir, but the idea wasn't successful not because of the caliphate but because of Obasanjo clampdown on ANPP/AD government, he was rigged out by Obasanjo. Olusola Saraki ploy to involve the sokoto caliphate was just a mere political game, he knew his son Bukola stand no chance beside Lawal. At the end of the day Obasanjo rigged at all AD/ANPP governors in SW and Kwara except Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Bukola Saraki is 100% Yoruba infact we learnt that the Saraki family migrated to Kwara from Abeokuta. Let's think about it, Saraki speaks yoruba, bears a Yoruba name, married a Christian Yoruba woman and didn't convert her to Muslim. Same with the last governor, Muslim man from ifelodun-Share, his wife omolewa Ahmed is a Deaconess, just imagine. All the governor in Kwara since democracy are Yoruba, from Lawal to Saraki to Ahmed to the current one. The current governor just resurrected one of Lawal's legacy, the "UP LAWAL" water project. An average Ilorin man does not understand Fulani (infact I've never seen one speak it, the Fulani language is zero in Ilorin) Secondly, The Yorubas in Kwara and Kogi are clamouring for merger with SW, yes, the reason why Ilorin might not be on the same page is because it's a very pig city, the 11 most populous city in Nigeria, things like this might not be in their agenda, coupled with contrary opinion since it's a very big city. And saying the Ilorin people are fanatics is nonsense, sorry to say, the people in Ilorin are just like their SW brothers, I mean tolerance, educated e.t.c have you ever read in the papers about religion crisis in Ilorin? No. For every mosque you see in Ilorin, you would see 10 churches. The people might be very religious but not fanatics, they are peace loving people. It's only in Ilorin that you're be seeing clubs, bars, brothels and other social joint everywhere without outcry from the locals.. can that happen In fulani dominated North? No The non indeginous people in Ilorin are so free to the extent that people were attending clubs when everywhere was locked down during covid, what didn't happen in Lagos sef https://www.thecable.ng/50-nightclub-attendees-arrested-in-kwara-transferred-to-isolation-centre/amp Can people in North freely go to club even when there was no covid? Not to talk of when when everywhere was locked down. That shows that the fulani influence is zero in Ilorin apart from the Emir title. Go to GRA Ilorin, you would see what you wouldn't in Kano (I mean social life) And saying Kwara South is underdeveloped is not true (I mean Nigerian standard of development, if you understand) though we've been marginalized. Offa is not that bad, I think. And the pace at which Omu-Aran is growing up is mind blowing. If Saraki is fulani, don't you think the theme of his daughter's wedding should be fulani theme? Why Yoruba theme wedding, in the picture below? The second picture is the abandoned UP LAWAL water project which the current governor is about to resurrect. The only difference between the Yorubas in SW and Ilorin is religion, Christianity and Islam are evenly distributed, Ilorin on the other does not have INDEGINOUS christian, haven't seen one. Though.

It is good to have expressed their view. However, whether they like it or not is less important in this case. Oduduwa republic is bound to happen however long it takes. |

LukasPodolski:Thanks for this very educative write up. I believed a lot of people did not know the situation at Ilorin apart from Alfas claiming superiority over one another and big Alfas declaring support for politicians. Thanks for this information. |

No wonder osu/ohu is still rampant in East, everything about them is slavery and buying ancestral land. Keep buying our ancestral land while yours is decaying. When we're done, we will send you back home.Hahaha. Even if u send them back home, can I maintain the structures they built there? No oo They have bigger house in the village compare to that trash in Lagos. You are only waiting for what to inherit from igbos if they leave. Lazy bones. The inherited house will still decay cos u can't maintain it so who is fooling who Agbays |
