You are only deceiving yourself if you think that they chase only after criminals. I have seen them chasing young boys eg my brother. I remember those days of python dance. These useless set of people chased my brother who was coming back from school. They captured some of his friends and told them to bring 10000. It is only someone who hasn't experienced brutality of SARS that would sound the way you are sounding. There was a time they entered our street. My uncle went to a viewing center to watch match. When he was coming back after the match with their fellow men, they jam SARS. They started shooting. My uncle is a civil defense officer. He ran back home and jumped our fence into the compound and broke his leg. Will you say he was a criminal too? I can go on and tell you so many stories, but I decided to use the examples from my family. It looks like as if you are living under a rock. Go outside and inquire. See things for yourself.

Na normal levels for Ajiwe. Was arrested two years ago for coming to bail a female friend, that was arrested on her way back from work simply because she stopped to buy something at her junction. Even with all the explanations and they even saw the food items she bought they still took her to the station. Was arrested because they said I look like one of the guys that ran away during the raid, showed them my identification that I just got back from work and my friend called me to come bail her. Spent the night in their cell until the next morning and was told to bring 50k to bail myself. Called my older bro who’s a major in the army, he had to send some of his boys to the station before me and my friend was released unconditionally. Some of these policemen act like criminals and some are good. But the government needs to overhaul the police force, also make psychiatric evaluation compulsory for all their personnel.

It's a shame our opinions on the subject of #endsars are divergent but it doesn't render me daft or my previous comments void.
I think you must be pseudo liberal to have loved my comments in the past , I'm liberal as well and that's a good thing.
I have moved around few Nigerian cities and I have been stopped for thorough search few times but I have never been shot , slapped or harassed.
I only hear about SARS brutality against innocent and calm people on Social media.
I do not keep a low cut, I will draw tattoos later in Life, I wear rugged jeans and baseball shoes or maybe it's because I'm not currently using an iPhone .
Now why I think you think I'm daft and why you should not conclude hastily:

The only people who have extorted me on the streets are Cultists . After a friend I visited around 5pm saw me off around 6pm and I was about to board a tricycle , heavily bearded men numbering 6 pushed the Keke to stop and brought me down. They said I was wearing a "wrong" colour for my Polo and sneakers. They held my phone and the necklace on my neck.

I knelt to beg because the necklace was my mum's costliest jewelry, pure gold with fragments of other precious stones (I borrowed it without telling her). I even told them I'm orphaned and my uncles will send me to prison. Since they were mostly drunks they told me to buy a drink 5000 for each of them. I called my friend I visited, who was surprised I didn't reach home and he brought 30,000 naira from home. They let me go and warned me never to wear those colours again. I repaid my friend through bank transfer the next day. That's why I started driving so that I would drive into a compound I visit and speed out when I'm done without harassment.
Since I started driving and obviously still swagging SARS have not extorted me up to 10,000 naira cumulatively. They've told me to come down and open the boot of the car, they have asked me for particulars and other details which I showed and informed them that I was running errands for my parents who own the car. The money I gave them was always 500 or 1000 naira to drink beer.
Endsars started trending and it was the celebrities who openly show the cults that they are affiliated with and their followers that were spearheading the movement. What about the #endcultism and fraud movement. Is it not what SARS people are fighting practically without social media support?

If you were in my shoes what would be your verdict?
If this very event which has turned out to be false as reported was distorted earlier by those who first reported it , why should I believe that most criminals don't also distort facts to paint SARS as bad?

Army men brutalize individuals and strip People's wives for just wearing camouflages but in America civilians wear them. Where is the #end army brutality trend?
Army men brutalize entire families and communities but no one cares.

SARS is just a branch of the Nigerian Police Force, if you scrap that unit (SARS). Reorient the NPF to fight what ever form of crime afterall that's what they paid to do.
