One of the major problems we have Nigerian is hypocrisy. When Covenant University forcefully shaved a students beard most people praised the school authority for doing so but now when the same happened in the North, they call it religious fanaticism.

When people complain sometimes I wonder, what do they really want?

If we are practicing sharia let's practice it well, if we are a free democratic, Non- Fanatical entity, let's be it, which one is someone dictating on your level of decency. #Hypocrisy#

Biodun556 the case of covenant is different. CU doesn't tolerate unkempt hair hence the response.

[/s]You did not have sense. That is a school and they have rules. If you can't abide by it, then leave.

Unlike hisba, what right do they have to tell people how to live their lives. Is hisba an institution. Use your head.

So an agency established under the state law is not an institution. I'm amazed.

Sharia law does not permit some particular hair style incase you don't know.

If you are approaching a northern state using sharia law , prepare your mind not to fall victim. As a matter of fact, apart from Nigerian constitution, each Nigerian state has different state laws. Lagos state law is different from the one in Rivers state. That's normal under federalism.

Never mind the OP...he must be one if those religion fanatics trying so hard to sow the seed of discord within Yoruba enclave...the moment you hear people proclaiming religion above their tribe, just know that it is either they have been brainwashed or can't think for themselves...I don't know their problem, Yoruba is one of the tribes that tolerate diversity in religion the most in this country, hardly will you see a family that doesn't have people practicing different religion and they get along, also, don't forget that despite the charade of holy holy, they still tend to be fetish.

In summary...this type of post is not needed in Yoruba land.
