Truth is soldiers are more discipline. If there is an order from GOC or CDS no soldier will disobey such order.. police own dem go tell you say ig just talk him own.

I wish it is that easy. Except in extreme cases, they won't be on ur side when making a case against their colleagues

They now have more to lose because of a report comes out about a case that happened in their area command then they will be forced to answer. Accountability is key.

It is a way to go. When superiors are held accountable they will also hold the subordinates accountable.

What the government should do is establish an independent police complaints commission. This commission will be charged with investigating cases brought to it by members of the public. It will composed of human rights lawyers, members of the civil society and police men and women of proven integrity.

The commission will also be saddled with the responsibility of independently investigating ALL cases of use of firearms by the police. Whatever the reason or consequences.

The current police service commission should be scrapped and replace with the IPCC.
