When I left Nigeria, I regretted not knowing how to speak different Nigerian Languages.
I saw MEXICANS who migrated to the US who couldn't make one sentence... Yet they were making it big and still taught their Kids SPANISH...

Language, yet mentally sound.

The lingua franca of Russia is Russian, the lingua franca of Mexico is Spanish, the lingua franca of Nigeria is English therefore to be considered a literate you must be able to speak English, simple. Unless you want us to start another tribal war because of lingua franca.

There r major languages in the world, Spanish, English, French, Portuguese, etc. I'm ibibio but I'm first a Nigerian which official language is English before ibibio.
Mexico I believe have some native language but the official lingual is Spanish.
