For those who care about the truth. Concession of the port was on-going after GEJ commissioned it but Buhari came in and shut it down just like he did to the 2nd Niger bridge.

After years of delaying it he restarted the process and want us to thank him.

But same port was undergoing concession during GEJ administration naw, same with that of port Harcourt. Meanwhile, gej also took it up from yaradua, who originally started the process before he became incapacitated due to illness. I remember yaradua also planning dredging of river niger up to lokoja back then. The plaque is still there today when he visited and laid the foundation of a cargo port in lokoja. Baba came and stopped it, before the matter was revisited and the process, concluded under this administration, same way he's completing GEJ's rail projects which were orchestrated by obasanjo. Government is a continuum. Both yaradua of blessed memories, gej and baba deserve the accolades and had gej completed his 2nd term, he would have also concluded it by now. Obasanjo started the rail project, yaradua continued, Jonathan moved it to a point and now buhari completed it. Port decongestion was yaradua's ideas, Jonathan took it up where he stopped and now buhari is rounding it off. There are project's this administration started which would not be completed until the successor assumes office. Would that mean the successor only wouod take the glory? NO!
