it's because he learnt in Egypt,the Egyptians don't eat beans,this is because beans causes oxidation.
The Egyptians knew more than we can ever know.
The Egyptians admitted Greek students as oversea students,students such as Socrates, Pythagoras until Aristotle decided to use Alexander to loot the libraries of Egypt and hence turn the world from Afrocentric to eurocentric.
Now we are the oversea students.

Pythagoras theorem state that in a right triangle, the square of hypothenus is equal to the square of sum of other two sides.

But what is the application of this theorem?

Mathematics is science and not technology. Just like every other scientific theory or mathematical theorem, pythagoras provides the logic behind many structures you see around you. Technology is the application of science and geometry is not any different. What you see is the finished work but only those involved at the development phase know the principles applied. Geometry is applied in architecture. Given two straight lines, the pythagorean theorem allows you to calculate the length of the diagonal connecting them. This basic application can be seen in virtually every architectural work out there.

Regarding the OP, I really wonder why Africans are so rich in conspiracy theories even when it's not logical. They make you study an occult theorem in school, to what end? What have they gained for making you study their theory? Science (including Mathematics) is a product of philosophy and technology is a product of science. So screaming that pythagoras is deep rooted in philosophy is like telling us that Nigerians are blacks. As an African man, if you don't understand something, study it or leave it to face your own field. You guys don't always have to wind stories around things you don't understand.

your statement is absurd. We apply them in many Engineering Power System calculations, All the maths we do are very important in real time calculations which bring solution to our life. Do u think ur phone jst happen?
Just like the way blood flows in ur body, in circuit theory analyses we're taught how to make designs which are applicable to the practical flow of voltage and current in a circuit (like ur phone).
Govt need to ensure all secondary schools offer 70% science and Technical courses because this kind of mentality is what our leaders have which is still holding this nation back.
Imagine Lawyer as a minister of power huh
