This Ozil ish is unnecessary clash of egos from both ends and it’s highly unprofessional.

IZUKWU:
this should be our first eleven
Wait first..
Where is ceballos?

Well, my humble opinion is..

1... It's better Pepe is still coming from the bench. At least, let him gain his confidence and momentum coming from bench.

2... We all know ozil won't start, so putting him there,.... lipsrsealed

3... Xhaka can't be in this team when there's a ceballos.

4... Back 4 is spot on

So I guess the formation should be like this(against man city)

Leno
Bellerin. Luiz. Gabriel Tierney

Partey. Elneny

Ceballos

Saka. Auba. Willian.

Tho the midfield personnel might change, but this is what I feel it'll be

I think it's a compliment that for the first time in a while we have options going in against City. Last few years the best I'd be hoping for was not to lose or get trounced.
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by BlueRayDick: 9:14am On Oct 07, 2020
Why? Because the negotiations for a new contract with Partey had broken down a long time ago.

Atletico offered 3.5m euros net per year before the coronavirus pandemic, but that was rejected. And after football resumed the message from the club was that they could not afford even that.

The fact is that Partey felt he had been badly treated by Atletico. He was the worst-paid player in the squad, with a modest 1.8m euros net per year, and he felt he deserved more, considering that by the summer he had played at least 42 games over the previous three seasons.
@ Jodera, Mostob This is what I was talking about yesterday. Partey definitely moved for greener pastures and greener bank account grin Who no like better thing

I know it's not partey's fault

You don't understand. Arsenal was probably thinking they could get Athletico to negotiate for something lesser than the release clause stipulates.

When Arsenal saw it wasn't going to work, they decided to stick middle finger inside Athletico yansh and 4ck dem up grin

I'm sure Simeone is somewhere calling on God of 600 years for Arsenal cheesy

Yeah... The squad depth is better now compared to last season.
Just few additions and we'll have a very strong squad depth.

That first 11 sef I put out, if disciplined and dedicated can give Manchester city a run for their money

Well, we don't know whether it was there since.
You know our main targets were partey and aouar. And negotiating money was kept for both. Well since aouar says he isn't coming again, arsenal decided to add both his money and Thomas money together.

I won't blame arsenal, I'll blame la liga for having buyout clause. Cos I feel without that buyout clause, there's nothing arsenal can do. But with arsenal activating that buyout clause, then it's all the best for athletico.

They should thank arsenal sef that we gave them torreira.
What if we hadn't given them torreira nko?? grin grin

Atletico Madrid refused to negotiate or even listen to offers. They were too rigid and kept referring Arsenal to the release clause. So we stuck it up their butts and contacted La Liga directly and secretly late at night and quickly smuggled Partey out of town for his medicals. By the time AM knew it was midnight and the cock crew. Lol.

Cunny man wey die na Cunny man go bury am.

I love that ruthlessness from our club.

I think Arteta will still continue with his 5-2-3 formation.
First he will want to ease Partey into the first team,
second he still does not have an specialist AM,
third it's Man City we are playing.

Nah...
We're heading into international break.
I don't know when is the best time to put him if not against man city.

I believe Arteta will start partey.

Also I hope he doesn't use that formation, 433 or 4231 like Sheffield 2nd half will go a long way. We've a good DM and a good back 4. We also have some good midfielders if he uses the personnel correctly, so no need for that formation again abeg
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Junior2412: 2:17pm On Oct 07, 2020
Partey is not your regular DM. He is more of a box-to-box midfielder. He could be mistaken for a DM because of his tough tackling and how he breaks up play but he is also a good dribbler and creates space for people around to play.

He will form a good partnership with Xhaka at the base of the midfield.

Kieran Tierney has to self isolate for 14 days (starting yesterday) after Scotland midfielder Stuart Armstrong tested positive for Covid, according to the Scottish FA. Tierney has been deemed to have been in close contact with Armstrong.

That would rule him out of Man City away. @charles_watts
