Kieran Tierney has to self isolate for 14 days (starting yesterday) after Scotland midfielder Stuart Armstrong tested positive for Covid, according to the Scottish FA. Tierney has been deemed to have been in close contact with Armstrong.

That would rule him out of Man City away. @charles_watts

Far from it. He is a DLP.
Good.
So I think he would want to play partey there as a DLP.
In the past 2 games, he's preferred elneny to xhaka cos elneny isn't easily dispossessed.

Sha let's see how it goes

You're welcome bro.
I love deep lying playmakers in games very well.

They're mostly Cms who orchestrates attacks from deep.

Fabregas at Chelsea
Cazorla when he was partnering coquelin too acted as a deep lying playmaker before his injury.

So No Ozil? Phew....

Wassuping now.

UK paper Insulted Partey with the poverty slighting. Smh. Shameful lots.

Arsenal made the 50m back from Shirt sales. How true is this.

Ozil's Tweet on Gunnersaurus got more engagements than Announcement of Partey by Arsenal official twitter handle.

Yeah, we see how it goes because Partey is too adventurous to play as our outright DM and rightly so, he can do amazing things on the ball.

Whilst Elneny will be contended with holding forth for Partey when he roams and can do the basics (tackling, passing to the nearest man and all of that) effortlessly. The question mark over him is that he is lacking in vision when compared to Xhaka.

Xhaka on the other hand could be rash with his tackles but reads the game well. He has an eye for long passes and can make play from his own half, which is what most modern day coaches look out for when picking who would play at the base of the midfield.

The choice of Partey’s partner will be a tough decision for Arteta.

Another option is to play 3 CMS (Xhaka- Ceballos - Partey)

Mesut Ozil left out of Arsenal's 25-man squad for the Europa League. Sokratis as well.

You are very correct in my opinion. Partey will play the box to box role, doing the pressing and tackling while Xhaka or Ceballos will play deeper orchestrating play from there and providing the incisive passes. Playing 3CMs is also possible but will overload the midfield, instead I believe Arteta will rather overload either of the flanks. I wish we have an specialist AM, our midfield will just be sweet.

Yeah, I'm thinking against smaller team, it should be xhaka partey since we'll have more of the ball hence xhaka won't be so pressured. Then against bigger teams it'll be partey elneny.

Xhaka having more vision than elneny(as you pointed out) I think will give xhaka the advantage over elneny, especially with partey in the team.

I just hope he deploys the 3 cm as you said in your last paragraph with ceballos in the advanced role of the 3. It'll be interesting to see how Arteta lines up the team that day and moving forward

But to be sincere, I think lack of fans affects the results we've been seeing lately. No pressure whatsoever, no motivation. You know, that kinda ginger fans brings.

Most of these big players performs more with fans than without it, cos they love the shouts and the singing of names.

I believe most of the results won't be like that, example Liverpool vs Aston Villa and man city vs Leicester if truly fans were in the stadium.

The only result I might believe with or without fans might be the man u vs spurs game and that's solely cos of the red card

The absence of fans seems to have actually favored Arsenal thus far. We've been doing fairly well since the project restart with no pressure from our fans and the opposing team fans as well.

I never imagined Arsenal will beat Loserpool 3 out of 4 meetings with our current crop of players when compared to theirs but it did happen. We would've probably won the whole 4 if we had been more adventurous.

Without fans' noises players get to listen to each other and even the coach's instruction and execute same on the pitch in an instant. I mean I've been watching Arsenal's bench cam videos that shows Arteta dishing out instructions during the match and results showing almost immediately

Who is losing? a 31 yr old Ozil with a UCL and World Cup medal to name a few and at the tail end of his career being paid 350k in £ for doing nothing or Arsenal that’s yet to make a name for itself in Europe. Whoever is running this club needs to be fired cause he is running the club on ego and emotions and not business sense. If I am Ozil too I will run down my contract.

I can never understand why you’ll decide to keep paying a player his “full wage” while you freeze him out cause he refused a “pay cut”.

This has become personal for Ozil and the board, sadly, Arteta is caught in the middle. He is still too young and inexperienced to get into that muddy situation. An older head like Ancelotti, Mou, Wenger, Fergie would have had a stronger and clearer stance about this situation.

Ozil never won UCL.

The club made it clear that we don't need Ozil. Like United did with Sanchez. But because Sanchez is a player with self respect who still wants to play football, he took a massive pay cut and compensation from United to move to Inter.
Sanchez deal with United is more lucrative than Ozil deal with Arsenal both in duration and weekly pay, yet Sanchez didn't decide to sit behind in old Trafford to milk United while trying to make their board look bad with stupid PR stunts.

I get irritated when Arsenal fans support Ozil.
If Ozil have shame or still interested in football playing, as soon as he was told he isn't in Arsenal plans, he could have easily taken a pay cut and moved to a team where he can play.
Sanchez is currently on 170k/week at Inter, a massive pay cut from his 500k/week deal at United. But Oezil will not move or even accept loan deals, yet annoying Arsenal fans blame the board.

Come on!

This why I laughed the other day somebody said Ozil genuinely loves arsenal because he is offering to pay for the sacked mascot's wages.

I don't know the full details of his issue with Arsenal's board and I don'tr know who is at fault between the two of them, but one thing I have noticed is that Ozil is not a gentleman like he wants to portray himself to be. He's too controversial and I think that's not good for a stable and balanced team Arteta is trying to build.

It's just so bad. Even if you want exile him from premier league games, at least Europa or carabao cup he should feature. It's pure BS to pay someone 350k and say you're punishing the person for not playing for a year.. It's like you said an emotional and stupid decision.

Player go on an injury for one year plus, and still come back good, how much more ozil who's at the tail end of his career and have seen it all. It won't move him one bit.
Next season, he might even go to another club and shine...
Who now lost??

I really feel for Arteta in this situation. I know he'll love to use ozil but his hands are tied
What's more, ozil and Arteta had a good relationship before. How both of them will be facing themselves now eh... Lol.

Well like you said, Arteta is really inexperienced. An experienced gaffer will have a way of convincing ozil to leave the club for another, or convince the board to play ozil in a competition at least.
