Better not oh! This position thing was a sticking point in his contract extension. Saka made it clear that he wants to primarily play higher up the pitch and that also necessitated the switch in his jersey number.

We don't control that situation. Hopefully Saka continues to get good minutes with good performances on the wings for Arsenal so that subsequent call-ups will be for his preferred position.

Sanchez got paid off part of his remaining contract by United to leave and go play at Inter for 170k reason he left, go figure. It’s win win for both parties.

You can’t bully Ozil to take a pay cut, the pay cut is the reason here not cos of performance, it’s clash of egos. I’ll do same if I’m his shoe.

Let the club pay him off and see if he won’t leave. It’s business.
Sanchez left because he still wanted to play football ball.
The compensation United gave him was no where near what he would have earned should he have decided to sit at United bench and be playing PR stunts.

Even before he left United permanently, he accepted to go in loan at Inter so that he can play.
Arsenal would have easily accepted share Oezil salary with a loan club. But Oezil will not accept that. The lazy man is used to easy money.

Even now the club want to pay him off, the greedy lazy Turk is demanding full compensation of remaining contract, whereas Sanchez took only half of his remaining contract wages and left.
Sanchez actually took just around £7m from United as compensation out of the £40m that he would have earned had he stayed behind.

Had he decided to stay in United, lazy around, claim that he is honoring his contract with United while making United board look bad with cheap PR stunts, he would have earned £40m at the end of his contract.

Ozil's situation to my understanding is more than what we know or think outside London Colney. I think it has a political undertone. Something related to China.

I only hope Arteta rational agreement is reached because it may turn sour.

It has more to do with Oezil being a lazy greedy Turk tired of playing football.
Deciding to stay in London and leech on club that obviously no longer want his services.

Mkhitayarn was in similar situation as Oezil, but being a honourable hardworking man, chose instead to go on loan at Roma to play football while Arsenal shared the loan fee with Roma.
Before accepting cancellation of his contract with Arsenal and moving to Roma permanently this season.

What is there to understand?

Arsenal don't want Oezil any more, just as we no longer wanted Mkhitaryarn.

Why are you Oezil fans behaving like Oezil is the first footballer to sign a contract and down the line no longer wanted by his club?

What is hard to see here?

1. Arsenal no longer want Oezil

2.Oezil knows this, but is staying put because he is greedy and values money over playing football

3. Sensible players who are still in love with football in Oezil situation usually take a pay cut, settle for a compensation with the club and move to a new club.

4.Oezil will not do this. But insists he be paid his full contract money or stays put even if he doesn't get to play.

5. Khedira another Turk is playing same Oezil game with Juventus currently.
Meanwhile Emery Can, another Turk who is interested in still playing football took pay cut and moved to Dortmund from Juve to get game time.

You keep missing the point. Despite Sanchez not needed at the club he was still paid off some part of his remaining contract and allowed to go for free which helped him get relatively high wage of 170k in Inter.

Ozils’s case is not football related at all as he even featured in our last game which we also won before the COVID break. The board is trying to bully him cos he refused a pay cut on an already signed agreement which is at his discretion to take or leave.
It’s the board that is being unprofessional.

If I work for an organization facing financial troubles according to them and I’m approached for a pay cut, I have every right to reject it, cos such clause doesn’t exist on my offer. If u feel u no longer need me u simply declare me redundant and pay me severance. The organization will be foolish to keep me on their payroll but take all work responsibilities by my job description away from me. While I get alert monthly.
I hope U get the picture and realize Arsenal board no get sense.

You don’t have to lie to drive home ur point. Ozil’s case is not same with Mikky. Ozil was never offered a loan deal prior to the Pay cut saga. Ffs he even featured in most of Arteta’s lineup prior to COVID break.

Oezil case is football related.
Oezil has declined and deteriorated rapidly since 2017. Offering him that contract was ridiculous. Wenger was deluded.

His output has been abysmal and disgraceful for that figure he is on.
Iwobi was even having more assists and goals than Oezil before Iwobi left.

If Oezil was delivering a 350k weekly performance, Arsenal would be in UCL and no one would be complaining about his wages.
Oezil has been a monumental failure for the past 4 years. Wenger benched him and made up ridiculous injury excuses for him to protect his ego, Emery benched him, Ljunberg benched him, and now Arteta is benching him. The national team of Germany wanted him out too and he was blamed for not coming clutch for them in Russia.

All those managers cant all have agenda against Oezil.
Oezil is no longer good enough. Even when Arteta played him, he only made 1 assist in more than 10 appearances, that's not 350k/week performance.

Sanchez took only £7m as compensation from United to join Inter as free agent. His contract with United was worth £40m, so he took less than 1/4 of his contract to cancel the deal and leave as free agent to join Inter.
The 170k/week salary for 3 years he signed with Inter is worth £28m.

So he took massive pay cuts to play football.
Oezil as of today insists Arsenal must pay him the full remainder of his contract before he leaves.
And you don't see that the man is sick in his head with no passion for football anymore?

Oezil had suitors.
There were clubs from USA and one from one Arab country like that.
I'm sure that if Oezil wanted a loan deal, he would have pushed for it and gotten it.
He never wanted it. He is comfortable leeching off Arsenal while naive fans make up excuses for him.

Most fans are just emotional and unwilling to call a spade a spade based on our current situation.

If Arsenal tomorrow gets an AM that that starts delivering like Bruno was doing for United towards the end of last season, trust me so many people will come out and call Ozil out for what he is. The only reason why most people are still stuck on Ozil is because we haven't gotten someone to take his place yet.

Ozil's diatribe concerning the muslim minority issue in China cost the club some good money. There's no way the management will be happy with him over that. for 4ck sake he is expected to be a professional and not a politician. His dabble into politics has been responsible for his current predicament.

Bros haba!

As a member of society, he is within his rights to protest over an issue that affects him as a person similar to the Black Lives Matter movement EPL are championing since covid19.

My only problem with him is his refusal to compromise or look for job else where. but even at that he is well within his rights that is why the club can't touch him.

SMH!

Are You even aware that despite the fact that Arsenal's didn't chastise him for the comment he made on the chinese muslim minority, Ozil still went ahead to speak to the press calling out Arsenal's management for not standing with him on the same issue?

Mesut Ozil has slammed Arsenal's failure to back his support of Uighur Muslims over their alleged persecution in China.

Arsenal midfielder Ozil spoke out on Instagram against China's treatment of the Uighur population in Xinjiang last year.

More than one million Uighurs and mostly Muslim Turkic minorities have been rounded up in internment camps, according to human rights groups and experts.

Arsenal did not criticise Ozil for making the comments, but instead posted on their page on the Chinese social media site Weibo that the club "always adheres to the principles" of not getting involved in politics.

Since then Premier League clubs have supported the Black Lives Matter movement after George Floyd was killed in America.

Former Germany international Ozil, who was frozen out by Gunners boss Mikel Arteta for "football reasons" since the coronavirus restart, would have liked similar support over the Uighur issue.

"It doesn't matter what religion or colour you are — Muslim, Christian, Jew, black, white or anything else. We are all the same," Ozil told The Athletic.

"What I said was not against Chinese people, it was against whoever is doing this to the Uighur Muslims and other people who are not helping them, such as other Muslim countries.

"I have given a lot to Arsenal, on and off the pitch, so the reaction was disappointing. They said they don't get involved in politics but this isn't politics and they have got involved in other issues.

"In America, we saw George Floyd killed and the world spoke up to say Black Lives Matter, and that is correct. We are all equal and it's a good thing that people fight against injustice.

"There are a lot of black players and fans of Arsenal and it's fantastic the club is backing them.

"But I wish people would have done the same for the Muslims because Arsenal have many Muslim players and fans as well, and it is important for the world to say that Muslim Lives Matter."
When I say Ozil is just too contoversial you people thought I was being emotional, but it is what it is. Ozil would do well if he leaves politics for politicians
