China ish happened when? Erdogan ish happened when? He has featured in the squad as a starter and from bench after both ish, this freeze out started after pay cut.
Do you know how much Arsenal lost through the China ish? What Ozil did was wrong and being the highest paid player in the club, refusing to take pay cut after indirectly reducing the club revenue is absolutely bad. Infact,he should be the first person to take a pay cut.
BTW the paycut is temporary anyway.

Bros haba!

As a member of society, he is within his rights to protest over an issue that affects him as a person similar to the Black Lives Matter movement EPL are championing since covid19.

My only problem with him is his refusal to compromise or look for job else where. but even at that he is well within his rights that is why the club can't touch him.
Gbam very Simple logic.

From perspective of a fan what Ozil is doing is not in my best interest. But I won’t be so irrational as to say Ozil has erred. Players dip in form every time it’s left to the board to manage the situation in both party’s best interest and not try to bully him out of the club. It was highly unprofessional by the board and Ozil has every right to act the way he did.

Are You even aware that despite the fact that Arsenal's didn't chastise him for the comment he made on the chinese muslim minority, Ozil still went ahead to speak to the press calling out Arsenal's management for not standing with him on the same issue?

When I say Ozil is just too contoversial you people thought I was being emotional, but it is what it is. Ozil would do well if he leaves politics for politicians
How’s speaking against marginalization of a certain religion politics, but they could stand with BLM and kneel hypocritically every match day.
How’s what happened in China different from Xenophobia in South Africa. If I speak against Xenophobia that makes me political.

Did u know the Chinese government in response to Ozil's comments claimed Ozil's comments were premised on fake news? They claimed he was relying on untrue statements and even asked him to visit the concerned Chinese province to see things for himself.

Now whether the alleged persecution took place or not, we will never know. That is why it is politics; a little truth here, half truth and lies there and counter claims there.

Players should not dabble into such. Even when Ljunberg who was caretaker manager at the time was asked for comments he also stated it that he will leave politics for politicians. That's how it is done.

You expect Chinese government to say it’s true, the same Chinese government that wasn’t honest with the COVID outbreak till it spread everywhere?

Here is an article on the situation China.

If u read tru that article u will see that the Chinese Muslim minority issue is more of a political affair that has been on for a while. The Chinese call them separatist who are seeking independence ( just like you have IPOB here which Nigerian government has decided to proscribe because they feel they are violent separatists)

I'm not here to debate whether the Chinese government is right or wrong on this matter, I'm only telling u it is a political issue in China which ozil erroneously dabbled into because of his Turkish origin ( If u read the article u will see where they wrote about the Chinese minority Muslims sharing the same origin with turkey)

If u must know, the issue has long been at center stage of discussions at United Nations even before ozil spoke about it. What more do u need to confirm it is a political issue if it's something that is being discussed at United Nations.

If you still don't agree, I don't know what to say again

No body is denying what you are saying. The point is as an individual, Ozil has the right to express his feelings whether political or not.

US women team captains Alex Morgan and Raphinoe openly criticise President Trump during the last women world cup, they were not thrown out nor any sanction was made against them.

What I am saying is that Ozil is within his rights as an individual, so if the club decided not to play him, no problem as long as they keep paying his full salary. Ozil knows this and decided to play the blame game with them.

Ozil's case is even small compared to what's happening in F1 where Hamilton openly criticise F1 for not doing much against racism, still in F1 Kevin Magnussen refused to kneel for BLM yet no body is being sanctioned. These things are social and personal issues where everyone has his rights as long as they don't infridge on the rights of others.

I have no issues with Ozil standing on his rights, my issue is as a fan, I want him to play or make room for another player. But then, it is his call and I wont condemn him for it.

If after reading that article you couldn’t deduce the fingers of culpability were pointed at Arsenal board it should be you taking your advise on reading and comprehending. They went as far as saying bellerin has been doing similar stuff and the board never disowned him publicly.

The context here is revenue.China already took a step by viewing another match instead of Arsenal's. Imagine how much that could cost Arsenal. Arsenal had to dissociate themselves from Ozil's comment in order not to lose.

Simple!

Is the US women national team set up as a commercial concern like arsenal? What's the basis of this Ur comparison?

Ozil with his comment hurts Arsenal’s potential income earning in the communist China and u expect the club not to throw him under the bus?

Do u know what he did is just like a staff of a food chain outlet in the US saying something like “ 4ck all gayss , all gayss deserve to rot in hell” .

You and I know such staff will be publicly denied by the retail outlet and his comment will be termed: "His personal opinion which does not represent what the retail outlet stands for ". That was exactly what Arsenal did. Why? Because the matter at hand is a sensitive issue

It’s like saying I play for Arsenal and knowing what’s happening with the herds men and farmers clash. Then I speak against it as a Nigerian and Yoruba, stating the Nigerian Government ain’t doing anything about the killings of my tribe men working on their farms. Nigerian government will definitely come out to lighten my assertions and sugar coat it. Then Arsenal comes out to tell me I’m being political and distance themselves, that I should have kept quiet simply because NBC won’t let DSTV show Arsenal match.

If u go tru my initial post u will see where I stated Ozil's controversial person has been the origin of his predicament. He has always been dabbling in politics and putting the club in the limelight for the wrong reasons.

You are the one who assumed I was solely pegging his exclusion from the team solely on just one or two incidents. Somebody even pointed it out to u that Ozil had issues In Germany.

My point has always been clear, I don’t care how it’s done, Ozil’s constant outbursts , actions and inactions will be a distraction to the project Arteta, let the club find ways of having him leave with his negative energy
