Bears have to be one of, if not the most misrepresented animal- thanks to cartoons. The only harmless bear is your teddy bear or the one in Masha and the Bear (which, coincidentally, is a Russian cartoon). Seems they have a thing for bears.

Bears are not entirely nice and cuddly as portrayed in these pictures. Brown bears are dangerous, polar bears shouldn’t be encountered...by a rookie. cheesy

Bears seem to do well around humans if adopted early as cubs. There's the story of Wojtek, the Polish Soldier Bear that was adopted by Polish soldiers as a cub. He went on to fight alongside the Polish army to the amazement of Allied soldiers in the second world war
