You guys should earn this MSc the right way. Very soon WES will downgrade all these rushed/packaged MSc programs because it’s becoming obvious that they are sold for immigration points and thus not comparable to what is obtained in elsewhere. Before you know it people will be asking for a 3 month MSc program

It's like it all depends on your school directly verifying your results and transcripts. Everything sped up after they got the email.

Thank God o. They’ve still not acknowledged my package o till date since the 22nd. I can’t even get my school to send pdf copy to them because what I’m hearing now is NASU strike.

SVR - $175 CAD
ECA - $111 CAD
My bank charged N312 per $ for the 1st two and then N290 per $ for the ECA which I ordered 1 week ago. Approx N180k altogether

God bless you!

Shadama answered all your questions smiley

It's a good time to verify your credentials because it's mostly online and the long wait isn't there anymore. Once your ECA is ready, they send you the softcopy and also the hard copy to the address you put. Canada address or Nigerian address. For the Nigerian address, you may decide to pay for courier so it will be fast. Otherwise they send it via normal mail to you.
People still received ECA via Canada address last week.

SVR is your medical school
You will see the option there. E.g University of benin college of health sciences

Many thanks, ma. God bless you!

1. Use your current surname as you will need to verify your identity. Submit proof of change of name along with your SVR application
2. No need to notarize your certificate but you will need to notarize a copy of your passport and your certified identity document. You will get instructions for this when you request SVR
3. For the meantime due to COVID they are accepting soft copies but they said they will require the hard copies to be sent sometime in the future
4. I don't remember needing to specify this or giving a particular contact, they check it against the world directory of medical schools so maybe check there. I would assume it's the medical school that will be listed not the main campus
Hope this helps

Thanks for your help as always.
Pls the proof of name change (ie marraige certificate / affidavit), will one need to notarize them too?

The VOs don't base their evaluations or regard messages from those social media accounts. You only need to read stories of Lawyers who went through WES and claimed professional degree when their ECA stated otherwise to understand

WES vs IQAS for Lawyers

Disclaimer: this is not to say lawyers should not use IQAS, grin I'm just looking for intellectual banter this fine Saturday afternoon .....with no party to attend!

Statement in bold 100% correct....HOWEVER I would assume VOs are bound by the information available to applicants on the Canadian Government websites.

And one of those sites clearly states that a BACHELOR OF LAWS is equivalent to a professional degree, not in general terms but in terms of reading the assessment from the ECA and CRS points awarded. See screenshot and link.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/education-assessed/read-report.html

Do VOs make mistakes? Of course, but I have never seen a judicial review case on this issue....so is it that Lawyers are no longer learned tongue ( they are not reading up and are not aware of what IRCC says about ECAs marked as Bachelor of Laws) or wahala is no longer their work (they are not taking IRCC up on its VOs' errors) or these rejection applications are getting reopened? Or maybe WES says normal Bachelor instead of Bachelor of Laws?

If the info on canada.ca and cic.gc.ca cannot be relied on, then what are we all doing here? In general, we pray that VOs do not make errors on our apps but were it to happen because of an ECA, POF, NOC or other issue, we shouldn't just fold our hands...after all the time and money spent!!

They acknowledged mine on Monday; after over 3 weeks. Just give them some more time. You can also follow up with a mail.
Last time I sent a mail they said they were opening packages from the week of 31st August. It will be 3 weeks on Tuesday since my transcript arrived their office, so I’ll allow some more time Before I bombard them again. I think they’re only fast with soft copies sent directly from the school or an accredited third party.

Ordinary to sign transcript, wahala tie wrapper for them, now if I tell them to send verification email with this their NASU strike I’m sure they’ll hiss but All the same it won’t hurt to try I’ll write an email to them asking them to send pdf and also verify.

I guess the problem here is Wes regards it as ordinary bachelors, however I still feel with a detailed LOE and with regards to the info on Canada.ca a bachelors of law is one anywhere in the world and the WES evaluation should fly. I’m also in this boat.

Yep, remark it. You've got only 15k to lose if it doesn't change and 3more points plus your 15k refund if it does change.

I agree with @Iasignor, another consideration though is ur current/estimated CRS score with ur results. If its 475 & above there may be no need to remark as u will likely get ITA with reccent trend. #MyThoughts

I think WES wants us to add our law school transcript to undergraduate before they can regard it as a professional degree. Just my thoughts , also lawyers are tired , this journey requires a lot of resilience and patience they’ll rather just use the body that does the needful than stress with WES.

Good day All,

My EE profile expired and I am creating a new one. Please do I pick yes or No for the ff questions:

1. Have you ever applied to IRCC before.
2. Have you ever applied for express entry before.

Apart from my EE profile that expired, I have never done any other Canadian application.

Thanks in advance.

they evaluate law school as diploma. So its two or more degrees with wes. I don't know the matter with WES. The other bodies dont want to give them a run for their money.

Young man, I would say "calm down" and get everything right. If her WES is at the stage of evaluation - I want to guess from experience that within 2 weeks, all should be done and ECA issued. If you score is in the range of "470ish" with spouse accompanying, then nothing to worry. ITA will surely come soon. Even those on 468 have strong faith.

Don't assume REF number in my opinion. This journey requires patience.
My opinion

Even if he assumes, which it would actually be the same, the thing is that he should still wait because you can't open a profile and add an evaluation that hasn't been done. There is space for date of evaluation. So what date would be input?

A whole law school as diploma, Hian this is an insult to the council of legal education o grin because even CLE regards it as post graduate then wes is now “de-repping” Us anyhow.
