MY SARS EXPERIENCE IN PORTHACOURT

On a very faithful Sunday afternoon in 2017. I and my girlfriend along side my junior brother and my friend decided to go chop life at the newly opened portharcourt mall (spar). We went with my mum car a golden Toyota Camry tiny light. As we passed jevenik at GRA, I saw a black Highlander double crossed us with guns pointed to our faces shouting stop!! stop!!. At first I thought it was kidnappers and I wanted to rev the engine to escape but on second thought I did not because of the fear of being shot. The next thing we saw was four men alight from the vehicle and told everyone to get down. Then he said they want to check the car papers and also search the car. Firstly he asked me who owns this car? I told him it belongs to my mom. he then ask where did she buy it from? Did she buy it from a car stand or she bought it from someone who had used to it? As he was talking another one said he wants to search the car so I told my girlfriend and my friend to watch him closely so he won't deposit and contraband and indite us. The other sars man then ask me to call my mother which I did and I said "mommy good afternoon ma we were stoped on the road by some police men immediately the man said tell her SARS men, in my mind I was like are u not a police man again? And then I gave the phone to the SARS man so she can talk to them. she greeted them first as her sons and even asked them if they went to church. (trust my mama na area she be) and the guy smiled and told her that they did. He then proceed to ask her where she bought the car and she told she went to coutonu to buy the car which she did. And that was the end of the incident. So if I was the owner of the car wahala for dey. After everything when we enter the car to drive to continue our journey to SPAR no one spoke to each other for like 20minute because of the trauma. If you see these men they look like people who bathed with death, they have this dirty death look. That look that could the have killed so many people and can kill at will. God saved me that day we need our voices to be heard SHARE YOUR OWN STORY. #ENDSARSNOW

Same Port Harcourt SARZ arrested my kid brother at a betting shop when they came for mass arrest ,that they were looking for cultist undecided undecided.

They seized their phones till after 4 days ,we were already worried. they contacted my dad and we went to the station .

Long story cut short ,we spent close to 200k to bail him out after plenty pleadings... We even had to look for a northerner to follow us to the station because their 'oga' was a northerner
They threatened to "travel " him if he stays in their cell after a week.

They beat the hell out of my brother, almost disfigured his leg and gave him a big scar on his back . angry angry angry.

Good side: Robbers were terrorizing our neighborhood for a long time .we slept with one eye, there was barely a day with a robbery incidence until SARZ caught and killed some robbers in my area( it was on Nairaland front page then) ,since then ,we haven't heard or witnessed Robberies.

Funny enough, there's a police station a stone throw from my house but then #Reformsarz#.

PortHarcourt protest hold on Tuesday 13th.
