SUFFERInSMILIIN:
Nigeria's problem is illiteracy and stupidity the people are so stupid.A state with a population of 3.5 million only 415000 people go and vote this is just about 11% of the population have selected a governor. The state has about 2 million registered voters 21% of the registered voters went to vote. You have somebody which is the governor off at where only 11 to 12% of the population of the state voted for him

1 million years as long as Nigerians are ruling the country the country is going nowhere suffering and smiling

When a man calls his people "Stupid" simply because of they refused to come out and vote, then that man needs his head reexamined. On a public forum like this, let us mind those things we say. Your thinking depicts your kind of home training and a minus on how you were raised. Every African trains their children very well, it is up to the child to behave in the proper teachings of his parents. Watch your words brother

If pdp did not implode, why should apc implode? The way una dey reason eh.if you want to defeat apc,do so
The implosion of PDP occured in 2015 from a 2006 prediction. APC will not implode in 2020 but later on.

It did not work in 2019,it did not work in ondo,it won't work in 2023 if apc presents a good candidate.I dont see pdp producing a good candidate.by the way,the ekiti and osun polls in 2023 will decide

I would have ignored ur mention but because u only see victory for APC even in face of wrongs, I restate, factors that will influence 2023 are in the making. The problem of Nigerians is not party but insecurity, high cost of living and unemployment. To say a party will present a bad candidate in d future is pedestrian. APC's fate is tired to contemporary issues cos they are on the drivers sit. Advice APC to style up Nigerians aint what they were ten years ago. poverty and insecurity is resetting their brain. those who love APC are speaking to power but some of you are like oshiomhole. you are always sure of victory...

Please, does anyone have the percentage of the total votes cast and the percentage each candidate get?

There are about 1.8 million registered voters.
APC 292,830
PDP 195,791
ZLP 69,120
Total votes is less than 550,000 out of 1.8 million registered voters very disappointing turnout

Please you need to know Nigeria has the lowest voter turnout in the whole world which is becoming a big problem and a disgrace. When Somalians go and vote it is 76% turn out of the population. When South Sudan even goes and vote it is 62% of the population turns out. Look at Kenya Ghana and South Africa 75% of the population of these countries go and vote

You have made very valid points.

I think the problem lies with the political class.
They are all the same corrupt bunch; APC and PDP.

Majority of the citizens have become despondent.
There is that subconscious feeling that they must go to the polling booth to queue and then end up having to vote APC or PDP.

The truth is that a lot of e rats especially on nairaland who support PDP try all they can to prove that PDP is better.

Same with APC e rats. They spend all day trying to convince that APC is better.

At the end of the day the reasonable people know that they are all the same corrupt bunch of people.

Voter turn out is that low because Nigerians know that they must vote APC or PDP

But have lost faith in both APC and PDP.

It is becoming a big disgrace people are not going to vote I think the election commission must make people vote online which is much easier because most Polling stations are in chaos because vote buying and political tongue at polling stations people do not want to put your life at risk going to vote...

What exactly was the reason why the second Niger was not built between 2010-2015 despite the fact that (according to you) just 15% of the cost was left to complete the total cost?

Where in the world do you pay 85% for such major project before the project even start?

Let me tell you the naked truth, most Igbos like Jonathan, not necessarily because he built outstanding infrastructure in their area but because their People benefited from appointments & Government patronage from his Government QED.

Jonathan had golden opportunity to develop the SS &SE but didn't perform well even in his native S/South region other sharing money to militants, politicians and anyone who could mount enough pressure on him.

Cross River is so fiscally disadvantaged that no governor would have outperformed Ayade, thanks to Duke and Liyel reckless borrowing. Ayade is seen as a failure cos he promises to deliver what is unrealistic . How do you even know I am from Cross River?

APC and PDP are the same rubbish if you look at APC they have borrowed more money than any Nigerian government in Nigerian history. You need to understand one thing with the low voter turnout in Presidential elections and state elections for governor no political party at the moment deserves to rule the country. How can you have parties which get less than 20% off the Citizens in the country vote for them and they are now ruling the country

That is not true. The Lagos Ibadan rail construction started in 2018 and should be put into use by the end of 2020. 16years, PDP could not complete or put into use any new standard gauge line.

This post didn't answer the question; why didn't Jonathan construct the 2nd Niger Bridge despite being in power for 5 years at a time oil prices were highest and according to you, he had paid the cost of the construction up to 85%?

There's a special reason why I am asking this question repeatedly which his fans/supporters hasn't been able to give reasonable answers;

1) That Bridge connect the SS with the S/E. These two regions are considered marginalized by many people.

2) The two regions were his greatest support zones.

3) The regions make substantial contributions to the economy of this country.
4) Jonathan himself was from the SS region.

I prayed and supported Jonathan to become President in 2011 because he had my sympathy and I expected him to right the wrongs done to the SS and Nigerian true Federalism in the process. I stopped supporting him in 2013.

Building a bridge is totally different from building a railway.

The construction of the 2nd Niger Bridge was regularly discussed in every election year since 2003.

It was only the Engineering drawing that was done during Jonathan's period and no actually physical work. Any reasonable adult knows that you don't need 5 years in Aso-Rock just to achieve Engineering drawing of a Bridge.

Jonathan was NOT committed enough to the construction, if he saw it as his legacy project, he would have constructed it within 4years, especially when fund was available QED.

Many Igbos don't want to agree that Jonathan failed them in this respect and try to give all kinds of funny excuses for him.

Jonathan was a president for Nigeria.all PDP presidents were..divisive leadership at presidential level started from buhari ur God!..instead of u to condemn him..ur blaming a southern president who built lots of skls in the north for doing it....
