So short summary, yesterday I asked for a proof to show the current state of d dog but instead he started sending screen shots of chats, really?? Then next he started sending pictures of other dogs, and again REALLY?? At about 1pm I stopped responding just to let it die, but this dude kept quoting me till about 7pm, not just quoting alone but modifying posts thinking I didn't see em, so last night I decided to indirectly let him know I'm done, n that gave him the courage to finally use his Reinapbunny account to throw insults dis morning (normally his jossyzulu account is the rude one) Lmao see characters... since he decided to call me back I've given him a chance to clear his name, n I said I would open threads on both agricultural n pet sessions apologising to every moniker I mentioned, which is a gesture you'll never see on nairaland, let's see if he's got any dignity in him, or her, whichever the case may be

I saw that post from a different moniker saying he wants to give out a stray Caucasian of 8months with list of stupid conditions.if u r desperate to give out a prestigious dog such as a Caucasian it won't even take a day before people come in line for it .he is a scammer that's the simple truth.. nobody cares for a dog for 8months and still want to give it out.8 months is time enough for the dog to have bonded with him.. bloody thief!!

Baba this post have given me the shiver because i saw it early last year and still the same post keeps maintaining top of the chat at pet section and when i was prompted to open it again, behold it was a new and fresh post; so i began to wonder how come, over 12 months gone, dog still looked malnourished, and yet to get a new home, a Caucasian at that, but i decided to keep my cool.
Thank God that at last, some persons have seen issues from my own perspective.

Thank God I wasn't the only one that saw the dog posts almost 2 years ago, the same dog that the thief claimed he adopted 8 months ago.. Same dog, same write up, even last year I perceived it to b a scam because d post still wasn't new to me. Hello OP, i was checking the pet section as i do most evenings before i go to bed when i saw your post. I was shocked. I can authoritatively say that you are wrong and have wrongly accused reinapbunny. Why? Because i know her.

As she stated, she rescued this caucasian which was very malnourished at the time. If you go through her profile and check the very first post, you'll see the what the dog looked like then. The dogs name is Zombra and he is a very beautiful and healthy dog presently.

I had the opportunity to have adopted the dog briefly. I didn't pay any money at all, even though she had spent so much in food, treatment, care and toys for Zombra. When i adopted him, she gave me a full carton of wet food, an almost full bag of dry food and a big bag of carrots. Zombra loves his carrots. And of course she added so many toys as Zombra loves to play. All at ZERO COST. All Reinapbunny asked in return was for the dog to be loved and treated as a friend and not a security dog as most people do. She didn't want it to be used for breeding either. She had him castrated for that reason. ( This could explain the lack of interest in Zombra from people because most people are looking to have dogs purely for breeding purposes ).

She made the adoption process rigorous. Before i could get him, she asked lots of questions to assess my love for dogs, my willingless to take utmost care of him, my availability to take him on walks and so many other things. She also came and checked out my place, to make sure i had enough space in my compound and my apartment for the dog to live in and play freely and not be chained or exposed to the elements. I went through these rigorous exercise because i love dogs and wanted a buddy and not a security dog who lives outside or doesn't eat well. She wanted someone who would take very good care of Zombra. I got the dog. He lived with me for a few months but i had to give him back unfortunately because my fiancee was too scared of him. He is a huge dog and she already had a bad encounter with a dog previously. (Now, I don't have dogs of my own but i still visit and walk my friends two female German Shepherds when i can ).

The reason Reinapbunny still puts up these posts now and then is because of lack of interest from people and that's because most people aren't interested in a castrated dog because they want to breed them. Also, most people who have come to adopt Zombra have failed to meet requirements. None of which includes money. She isn't asking anyone for money.

If you think you can love this dog, show that you can take care of him, feed him well (not noodles, eba and soup, egg shell diet ), let him be your friend and not your security man who lives outside. Then you can can ask to adopt him.

She isn't a scam.

She is just very strict about who she let's adopt Zombra.

If you love your dog and for some reason you want to give it up for adoption, i am very certain you wouldn't give it up to just anybody who asks.
You'd choose to leave him in the care of someone who'd treat him as good as you do or even better. Not someone who would eat him, or turn him to a breeding machine that lives in a hot, tiny cubicle with zinc roofing sheets and always chained to the gates and fed on scrapes or remnants.

seeing this post I was thinking this person didn't go through the thread before commenting. . until I saw this last phrase which actually proved u didn't go through.. now u take some time n read through n tell me who is responsible for this thread being active till date? I requested for current status of d dog but rather he began sending photos of unrelated breed of dogs, mind u d photos looked downloaded, he sent screen shots irrelevant to the situation, other nairalanders asked for recent photo n all of a sudden the dog wasn't up for adoption after 8 months, I confronted the guy because I've clearly seen the dog last year, almost 2 years ago if I must say tho, that was why I needed proof, if u went through the thread you'd see I wasn't the only one that saw the post last year, You can't put up a dog for adoption with all those requirements n expect someone to come for the dog unless that person is desperate. People have kept dog for years only to give out for adoption to a good deserving household within days, weeks.. You picked a stray dog n put up for adoption with terms n services far from friendly. Do u realise it's easier for someone on a minimum wage to buy a quality bb or cauc puppy than stress himself trying to meet d adoption requirements?? only the desperate will forget to think.. so u try n read up the thread n think if it's worth it standing for someone dat indirectly said 'eff what u think, call me a scammer, I don't care'..

I was once called a scammer, I went out of my way do dig out proof of wrong accusation, that ended it straight away, in this case all he needed was to take a photo but he spent a whole day quoting me and modifying his posts even when I backed down.. it's all him, no blame me..

In my opinion, you've done a great job by trying to protect the interest of nairalanders from a potential scam, but at this point, Reinapbunny has been vindicated and is actually genuine. It is unfair to someone that took an abused dog and nursed it back to health to be labeled a scammer without any substantial proof. Reinapbunny should be commended for her efforts.

In light of the above, I'll recommend you take down this thread and delete your comments on her page. This thread has fulfilled it's purpose and it's time to let it go. an apology to Reinapbunny is also in order.

Thanks, The thread still being up is his/her fault, If she ignored them I'll do the same, well as long as I do not see those same pictures online I have no problem...Even if he/she decides to put up again it's not my business, as long as it's a recent photo and not those photos he/she's been using.. Am not on nairaland because of anyone but myself,
